Mot And 30k Service

Recommended Posts

alright folks, I live in Edinburgh and the car is due 30k service and MOT end of May.

Who do you guys recommend?

Don't mind travelling for decent service, don't want to use the dealer, due to over inflated prices and some young apprentice doing the work anyway!!

Have used Extreme in Whitburn a couple of times for oil changes etc.

where do you lot go?

cheers

Hypertech in Falkirk/Bonnybridge

The Garage in Motherwell

Falkland in Fife

That's 3 of that I either know of myself or have always been well thought of in the community (jap car - not just Scooby)

All of those are good. TBH Grieves in Falkirk aren't bad, much cheaper than other dealer prices i've seen banded about, plus you get 10% off for SIDC membership. Example 60k service £350+ VAT - discount is what i was quoted, seen some on scoobynet etc saying they'd been quoted £600+ by their dealers!!!

I think 30k service is a easy/cheap one though so shouldn't be a lot! Check the book to see what it actually needs but you can't go wrong with Hypertech.

Mine is due as well - quoted £370 for the service and £50 for the MOT from Town and County in Aberdeen. being an SIDC member though you get labour down to £45 an hour and 10% off the parts - the lass on the phone said all in it would be about £320 or so ;)
