alistair_whyte Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 Hello folks, I posted recently looking for advice on getting a timing belt done in Aberdeen area. Had some recommendations for Brian Downie who I have looked into and gotten a quote for. Wuz from BHP Developments contacted me offering his services and advised I could ask around on here to get peoples views and experiences of him. So here I am - wondered if any one had used him - who could give me some feedback. All responses would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance!

the_ex_leper Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 i personally have not had work done from wuz but heard alot of good things
~ ~ Cal ~~ Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 He is highly knowledgeable, technically strong, muchos cheap w.r.t labour and you'll get free biccies, tea, lunch etc if you hang around long enough He works offshore thought ( 4 week rotations) and is not back till early May.......on the 8th May he'll be at the Ring until the 13th Send him a PM and he'll sort you out. Way cheaper than the "stealers" and I have more faith in his ability to be honest Cheers Cal p.s ( still extremely pissed off after having my brakes fixed by someone other than Wuz and finding out via my (strategically reset) Defi gauges that "they" pulled full boost and heated to oil to 95° in a matter of a few miles when testing the brakes........not good news)

duncan_stephen Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 I can also recomend Wuz. Top guy, great to speak to as well as very good at what he does. He looks after my car and built my car to the spec it is now. He will soon be required for the next stage too. Will not be beaten on price either

thewelsho Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 i personally have not had work done from wuz but heard alot of good things Same here. I don't think you wil hear any ill comments about him or his work.

RA Dunk Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 A darn good job he did of them too. Cars running sweeeet. I might even break it out for a wash you can wash it if you like Dunc, you can even drive it if you choose to, i know you will look after it
duncan_stephen Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 you can wash it if you like Dunc, you can even drive it if you choose to, i know you will look after it As always Dunk, I only abuse my own. Yours is in my garage while mine is slumming it on my drive Will take it out and wash it for you before you get home..... if I ever get the time.
thefastone Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Like the others, I realy cant fault him, he's fantastic for giving advice, when its needed and fair knows his way around a subaru! So far he's Fitted mudflaps and a set of Defi Gauges to my carIve also been about when He's been doing work to other cars, and I just cannot fault the work, when time comes to prep the engine for more power, he's the man!!!
WUZ Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 As always Dunk, I only abuse my own. That's very true - Just ask Laura......................... she get nothing but abuse from him Just remember that if (READ AS MEANING WHEN ) you take it for a run .......switch off the Anti-lag and launch control. It's currently on and you tell this by the fact that the car runs at an idle of 1500rpm ( Ac!d ) so watch yersel. You'll also fry the new Head gaskets and stem seals I fitted to the car. THAT WILL NOT PLEASE ME!!!! Russell
