Gizmoliddle Posted April 14, 2008 Share Posted April 14, 2008 Hi people, Hope all is good for you all, Well i am no longer at halfords got sacked because i have a medical condition and due to go in hospital for an opp they could not afford me being off for 4 weeks to recover...... But you know what the NHS is like, So i am now on a waiting list and could be for 18 months, So i am looking for a new JOB asap as i am due to move in to my new place in 2 weeks, But have no job... Can any one help, Do you know off any work or Got any jobs going, I am happy to do any think as long as it pays the bills.................. Gizmoliddle Posted April 14, 2008 Author Share Posted April 14, 2008 This is what i fort, i even phoned customer service to see what was going on, Plus what i can do, But all i got told was, If your ill and cant stick to your full time hours because of an medical condition the employer has the right to end you contract, So i am in a right mess because of it, As i cant do nothing because of this health problem, till i have my opp then i will be healthy again i hope LOL Link to comment

mikkers Posted April 15, 2008 Share Posted April 15, 2008 Repeated absence, explained or otherwise,is grounds for a sacking. But in your case it does seem very harsh, as a 4 week sickness period still only counts as one sickness period, they same as being sick for one day. I suspect something else is happening here...
