turboted Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Would you believe it? I joined on Monday 7th, the day after the Bucks boys met at my local watering hole. Local from work that is. Like Michael and some of the others I have been keen on Scoobies for many years, in fact since being at the finish line when Collin McRae became world champion in 1995. Have some good pictures of that classic win. Since then I have always wound down my window when I see a Scooby approaching so I can appreciated the humming of its flat 4. Now I know 13 years is a long time to wait to get the hold of the goods, but better late than never. So in Nov 2007 I took the gamble and purchased a fresh import off of Ebay. Of course no money was exchanged not even the obligatory deposit until I had inspected and test driven said car. All worked out fine and as an extra bonus it turned out to be a 555 version of the STI V2 of which only 400 were made to commemerate Collins win. Like the new member Adam from Bicester I am going to get her tuned hopefully to about 320BPH. Will start with a piggy back ECU for around £700 including set up and go from there. Will be at the rolling road day on Saturday, an existing agreement I already had with the owner Dave at DSA. Looking forward to meeting you all. Ted
