Whilst driving along a few days ago, i noticed a large puff of light coloured smoke from my exhaust, oh pants i thought to myself, then it happened again and again when i booted it, could be the turbo is on its way out.....

So i get on the blower to Powerstation and they say "yep, its the turbo".....

Next call is to David Hendry cars in Malmesbury, tell them what i saw and what Powerstation said, they tested it 4 times, and low and be hold, now im getting a new turbo....

Its in here somewhere..

Just how happy am i, also getting it re-mapped at Powerstation, the guys there reckon they can get even more power.

Cant wait. :):):D

Anyone had any dealings with Powerstation in Tewksbury (Cheltenham till last year), they seem very helpfull and knowledgeable?

I have had puffs of white out of my exhaust when I boot it......

...I hope I don't need to take mine back to the garage - It took them 6 weeks to finally get my rear struts replaced, it would take them at least 4 months to sort out a VF35 turbo.

If a Vf turbo sounds loud like the ones you get on turbo diesels its usally a sign its shot!, Its one thing I was told to look out for while reading the haynes guide to you and your subaru.

But then you can just get it tested lol.

Compo, is this the car you have?

If so WHO told you what was wrong with it?

Again IF you have the same car pictured, (I.E a non turbo) i think the garages are ASSUMING you have a turbo. Make sure you give them all the details so they can sort out your problem.

Theres nothing worse than getting geared up to sort a car out to find that its completely different.

My car is being done this week ;)

Its going to take a week cuz the turo has to go to Turbo Dynamics in Bournmouth for a rebuild.

Thank god its still under warranty!

I bet its going to cost David Hendry's a few bob :angry:
