Does your engine actully use any petrol? Don't think my neighbours like me too much anymore, better hire protection to walk to my car in the next few weeks. lol. Maybe best not to take the convoy to our houses in the future LOL.

luke_clifton Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 One quick question? is my blitz exhaust as loud as it sounds inside the car (have no sound proofing inside, so it's deafening)
dazzlers82 Posted March 16, 2008 Author Posted March 16, 2008 One quick question? is my blitz exhaust as loud as it sounds inside the car (have no sound proofing inside, so it's deafening) ill be honest blitz are normally really loud but i did not think yours was
luke_clifton Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Really, i wonder why it's not as loud as it should be? it's straight through with no cats and h&s downpipe, so should be pretty damn loud. Sounds it inside the car.
luke_clifton Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Okay thats been bugging me now, just ordered the cone gasket for the downpipe-centre. Deano used exhaust paste on this joint because my old gasket was totally shot to peices, but told me it would only be a temp fix until i could get the gaskets. Off to Subaru tomorrow to order bolts & the springs as it's also missing the springs, you may have noticed the exhaust is sitting off the right hand side hanger. This could also explain why i got pulled over on the first night and none since, Deano did warn it would probably last about a day.
20withascooby Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 they not that big i managed to do 56 miles to the first quarter of my tank last night whish is good i usually get bout 30-35 lol.shame i couldnt feel the haet i was bloody freezing windows wide open yea maybe convoys outside peoples houses and blockedu pthe roads isnt a good idea
luke_clifton Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Okay been to Subaru, order the springs and bolts for my centre section...... £33 Got the gasket on the way from scoobyworld for £29.98.
tony_cousins Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Okay been to Subaru, order the springs and bolts for my centre section...... £33 Got the gasket on the way from scoobyworld for £29.98. Gasket set 9.99 on fleabay and nuts bolts etc free from work you should have asked mate
luke_clifton Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I've not paid for the parts yet, just put my name down. It's alot of money, but i guess i'll know it will fit with minimum fuss.
tony_cousins Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 (edited) Got my gaskets from fleabay no worries mate and we use high tebstile bolts at work ( 8 tonne rated ) and can get you them tommorrow if you like, as for springs i dont use any Edited March 17, 2008 by Loony Toon
luke_clifton Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Deano says i need the springs, so there is abit of give in the exhaust so it will sit over and onto the hangers correctly.
luke_clifton Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I wonder if there is a difference in the bolts? if not then i could be tempted to take up your offer, £33 for 2 bolts, nuts & springs is abit on the expensive side.
tony_cousins Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 I wonder if there is a difference in the bolts? if not then i could be tempted to take up your offer, £33 for 2 bolts, nuts & springs is abit on the expensive side. I have never had springs on my car since modded, extreme scoobies, tsl motorsport and kia performance all put on normal bolts and i have never had an issue at all. I have been using my work bolts for years and they are stainless and weather proof ( never had a rusty one ). Up to you mate but i know where my money would go
luke_clifton Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Ah i dunno what to do, I'll gladly pay the extra price if it means the exhaust will sit properly on the hangers. but if they make no difference then i am going to kick myself for wasting that kind of money. Deano thinks it's the missing springs causing the issue, and i don't think i've met anyone else who knows more about this kind of stuff. Got to pick them up on wednesday, so i've got a day to decide.... Thank you so much though for your help and offer.
