Remap/ecu Question

Hi, been thinking about getting my car finally mapped or new ecu. But what mods do you ideally need to have done before map. I'm looking to get 300bhp-320bhp.

Thanks

Decat, fuel pump and induction kit for your car as i beleive it already runs a td05, then a remap by Simon aka Jolly Green Monster should see your power around 320 bhp :)

But talk to Simon and he will point you in the right direction :banana2:

need to settle on a budget really..

Assuming the car is standard apart from decat?

1) Walbro fuel pump, ESL Remap or Apexi, or Simtek - estimate 295

2) as 1 + injectors + 97 map sensor - estimate 310

3) as 1 + 2 and front mount intercooler and induction kit - estimate 320

4) as 1 + 2 + 3 and z32 or sti98 maf sensor - estimate 340 this stage not needed if on the Simtek

estimates are keeping to safe limits.

Thanks alot for the guide, thinking of making this my summer project (funds wise). Might attempt to get bigger injectors, fuel pump, + front mount, then stretch for a simtek (if they make boards for pre 97 cars). Should see some nice figures hopefully.

Simtek is available for all but the drive by wire 2006 onwards.. :)

sure it is a simtek and not gems?

the idle strategy is simple but I have not had a problem getting 900rpm steady.

no..

it was not used in original ecu even

although extra fueling can resuce det, the standard ecu run silly rich and adding more would cause misfire.

extra injector could be used fueling wise when mapped though.... aquirmist mf2 could be used,,, but cheaper to just fit larger injectors
