I had a thought re-your car today.. worth trying the original FPR into the fuel pipes remotely mounted to discount the aftermarket FPR?

I need it running to keep my interest.. I hate a non-running car.. I can then fiddle with it until happy. Simon
eurosti Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 We are not sure where he is! I will come to you mate as it will need to be mapped for your crap UK fuel lol. Going back in August for good so makes sense. Do i need to keep the 97 map sensor i got? She will be running mate dont worry lol.
Jolly Green Monster Posted April 16, 2008 Author Posted April 16, 2008 can use that sensor yes.. or I have GM 3bar sensors etc.. Simon
eurosti Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Simon i will always take your advice so whatever is best for the car mate!
eurosti Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Nice one well i will muster the rest of the funds and will book in, this time with a car that works lol.
Jolly Green Monster Posted April 18, 2008 Author Posted April 18, 2008 due to stripped threads in drivers front caliper I used used Timeserts.. am knackered from working on car.. missed MOT, rebooked for the morning. biggest pain was fitting the rear shaft as everything was rusted solid and it would be the longer shaft to go in. sorted the intercooler pipes, bleed the clutch, bleed the front brakes, fitted the tein bonnet lifters as bonnet stay rubber missing from front panel and so it kept falling down in the wind. sorted the thread in the caliper.. did both threads in the drivers side caliper.. Also played with the launch control - the neutral position switch seems a bit dicky.. took me a bit to realise why it wouldn't rev past 4000rpm. Disabled it for the minute.. downpipe to turbo sorted.. basically just the rear brakes, plus rebleed of the fronts and ready for MOT.. I have prelim checked it and could find nothing other than the rusty rear disks but then when it cannot go in the brake tester anyway.. Simon
Jolly Green Monster Posted April 18, 2008 Author Posted April 18, 2008 essential bleed brakes and clutch fit neetronics dccd controller non-essential fit brembo rears gauges antilag switch abs off/on switch make new brackets for stuff (throttle linkage, ps resevoir, coolant header) run intercooler pipes different route find a rear seat get wheels painted or fit my spares new tyres flock dash polish and vallet repair and spray ally bonnet from wagon to replace steel one on new car or sport bonnet? colour code skirts powder coat alternator, inlet manifold, header tank remove sound proofing swirl pot strip rest of wagon and sell anything and everything updated list.. much shorter.. lol Simon
eurosti Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Looking good mate, Fingers crossed for the MOT. Ours is pretty rough over here as its a mix og UK/German regs, a mate told me years ago, if in doubt leave a nice bottle of whiskey on the Back seat. Never had a car fail lol
