Whine From Front Of Car?

I have once or twice noticed a bit of a whine coming from what sounds like the front of the car after a quick blast on the motorway. This disappears fairly soon afterwards, but was just wondering is this normal? Fooked Diff?

Also that same night I was doing a 3-point turn and had a loud clicking coming from front left of car (or so it felt)..... Is this possibly related? Or is it just ball joints giving me grief?

Oh aye, forgot about that one Would that cause said whine noise as well as clicking?
