Dont Know Whether To Change Or Not

Got a phone call from Subaru dealer this morning asking if i was still interested in a GB270.The car in question has all the extras except sat nav which i have no use for anyway.Went and had a look and a test drive, very nice and well sorted with the lowered springs,18" wheels and PPP.It has rear privacy glass and leather/alcantara interior which is very dark compared to my STi.

Im really swithering whether to change or not, cause my Sti feels very hardcore compared to the 270 and i like the blue/black interior better. But heres the crunch,im being offered way above book price for my sti and with a discount cause the 270 is pre reg with only 176mls on the clock the actual cost of the 270 is the same price as the basic car without adding the seats and glass etc.My payments would be £5 a month less which i know is nowt at the end of the day and basically i would jus be changing cars.

What do you think?

Billy, I'd say change it!

Is it not the current car you have had a lot of "niggly" problems with?

the 270 is a limited Edition too, pretty much sorted and a sky diver a month less.

Go for it! :D

Oh aye and the 2008 Impreza is SH*TE! so you wont be wanting one of those

Gus the rattles etc ive had with my car aint nothing compared to what i have to deal with at work with Volkwagens.Im tempted,i'll mull it over for a couple of days,it pays to do that with car dealers. :rotfl:

Billy I got a GB270 a couple of weeks ago and I'm very pleased with it.

Goes in for its 1000mile service on friday, so will be able to tell you more after that.

Compared to my bugeye WRX it has loads more low end torque.

Having never owned an Sti can't say how it compares to yours.

I too got offered more than I was expecting for my bugeye, that made my mind up.

Also got a letter in from S&S this morning, they are having a couple of open days 1st & 2nd December, it states

on the letter that there will be special deals on the GB270, don't know what, don't want to ask incase it pi55es me

off having just bought one.

It also states to call to confirm attendance. 01292 880080

was at s&s on friday and the girl behind the desk said the impreza's sales were starting to pick up pretty well.

they've got 270 in silver and it does look good. owning a wrx and not an sti my points may be invalid but i'd go for it. depending on how long you've had it. if you had it for 18months to 2 years then you've had it, you got the nice pic etc if you kno what i mean. time to move on. its cheaper its new and its limited.

however its a personal opinion. whatever you do hope it works out

ooh as for the privacy glass i think it look gash if the front isnt done (as is standard now) and a full 'legal' window tint incl application will set you back around £170 so its not that much of a bargining point (my opinion) as it would probably cost you around 60 - 80 notes to tint the front two windows. however again this is personal and you may prefer just the bak tinted

(wee niggle that gets me how come they call it privacy glass when by law they only allow the bak to be tinted and your blind gran could see through it anyway)

I have decided not to take up the offer of the GB270 as i feel icould get a fully loaded car from another dealer.i owe about 9k on my STi which i should be able to pay off about March next year. However the GB270 IS A VERY VERY nice car.Thanx for you input.
