scooby-girl Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 (edited) Hi As above.....when I press the key fob, my scooby lets out a chirp, and won't disarm so I can't start the engine - the alarm goes off!!!! Could it be that I need a new battery?????? Jen(Who needs her scoob for the next Elgin meet this sunday) Edited November 19, 2007 by SCOOBY-GIRL
ANDYJDMSTI Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Either that or it could be something grounding somewhere. Get a hold of a volt meter and take a reading to see what Voltage your battery is giving out.
scooby-girl Posted November 19, 2007 Author Posted November 19, 2007 I haven't been using the scoob for a couple of weeks now - have been turning her over every now and then. I'm thinking Battery is flat. Going to get some jump leads. Jen

sparky_sj04 Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 HiAs above.....when I press the key fob, my scooby lets out a chirp, and won't disarm so I can't start the engine - the alarm goes off!!!! Could it be that I need a new battery?????? Jen(Who needs her scoob for the next Elgin meet this sunday) Battery is going, mine did the same and got progressively worse because the alternator was on the way out, would only get one chirping start and then had to keep her running for a while to save up for another.... If you've not been using it much that will be the reason... might just need a good old run and that will be that...
