david_taylor Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Shocking mate. I stay in Carronshore myself, although aint got a subaru for the feckers to steal while insurance is sorted. Keep an eye out, but cant see it being in the area here. Dave
Gaz_RSV Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 (edited) Fras, Gaz 'ere. I'm gutted for you. You must be boaking. Couldn't believe it when I got in last night from that fire at Maddiston and Lesley told me. Bloody scroats!!!. I've put the word out on another few forums I frequent and I've told the Scottish contigency of the Aprilia Mille club to keep their eyes peeled, a few of which stay out Cumbernauld way. Someone on another forum told me that posting the car being stolen on the Strathycruise forums might be an idea because info gained from there a wee while ago resulted in a stolen Scooby being spotted and recovered, dunno if thats right or not but its certainly another avenue/forum to consider alerting. Main thing is you and wee sis are alright, thank god. Crossing my fingers for you that they catch the gits. And if they get caught but subsequently get off with it, I know a mad irishman on my shift that has "contacts" that could sort the culprits right out....!!!. Not that I am advocating anything underhand or violent, but in this case I'm prepared to make an exception. Gaz. Edited November 8, 2007 by Gaz_RSV

Fee Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Oh my god...I've just come on here for the first time in ages and cannot believe the number of posts about stolen scoobies It makes me almost glad that I don't have mine anymore. It annoyed me enough all the damage that was done to my car whilst retards were attempting to steal it. Hope you get it all sorted out

scoobymark Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 (edited) you had any luck on the insurance front or are you still waiting? I've heard it can be up to 12 weeks before they pay out i have been payed out now m8, took 11 weeks!! They do nothing for 3 - 4 weeks, then i had a 1.5 hour recorded phone interview with loads of trip you up questions, followed by the forms which include you having to write the whole story again, they check the police report, the DVLA for your driving history and also want photos of your hoose, where the keys were etc.... Then when they prove that you are "not guilty" they get a loss adjuster to call you and agree a settlement figure. Edited November 9, 2007 by scoobymark
thefastone Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Yeah, anything to get out of parting with the cash, never mind that thats the whole reason that you are lashing out the money in the first place.... Insurance in teh UK is a joke at best...
