cusco kid Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 well the front motorsport anti-lift kit is on and the m/sport h frame attached its now time to fit the 24mm anti-roll bar .its an easy job to fit this arb sit back and relax ,here goes after jacking up your car and securing on stands remove the xmember brace that is secured by 4 12mm nuts and bolts this lets you brop the old arb out of the x member remove the 12mm bolts at either side bkt then remove the drop-links at the bottom arms i use a 12mm spanner and long nose vice grits to hold the d/link with the old arb removed you can offer up the new arb into its bkts and new bushes remember to lube the poly bushes when fitting now its time to fit the drop links easy to build up using instructions(like an airfix kit new bar in now the d/links when i build up the rose jointed links i always fill the sealing rubbers with a teflon water repeling grease(theres that word again , teflon it must be good for something) this gives longevity to the ball ends well thats how to do the job, done in 40min guys.remember to refit the brace to the x member now for the rear strut brace easy jog i let kev do this one alone kev fitted it in 20mins all it takes is removing the 6 x12mm nuts from the strut tops, splitting the bar into 3 main parts and feed it through the bodywork into the turrets then reassemble tighten 6x12mm nuts ,tension the bar on the end of the strut barand bobs your uncle easy i hope you guys are enjoying these posts as much as i am doing them and as kev would say
seafar99 Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Great write up's George, and that's as good a rear strut-brace as i've seen. How much are they coming in at?

JohnSt Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 cusco kid said: no probs m8 just thought you were trying to catch me out geo George, a question, the spacers that whiteline do to attempt to keep the CoG correct after the car is lowered. Lower Ball joint and Track control spacers. Do they come in differing lengths ??? thanks --john--
thefastone Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Now this is something, I thought that the droplinks were just solid pieces and not adjustable... Or am I thinking of a different part? Nice write up again mate!

I assume there is only one size option then ? thanks again ---john--- P.S. Bump steer is when the toe settings alter under compression and extension of the suspension.
