nippysweeties Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Does anybody make mud flaps specifically for the '06 wagon? I ordered a set of ProDrive flaps only to find out they are 4 door only. I am happy enough to drill the car if needs be, but I'd have thought some enterprising company would have created a set of clip-on flaps that use the one existing hole at front and the two at back. Any advice? Cheers, Steve.
bogie Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I've only fitted the splash guards to my MY07 Wagon so far (I was parked next to you at the McRae service in the Agricultural centre), wasn't sure about flaps on the wagon (flaps in the wagon are ok though). On my MY05 wagon I had flaps but just the cheapo Subaru black ones they looked OK (had to adapt them to fit the way I wanted though), I wasn't sure how the WRC type would suit a wagon. I might fit some black mini flaps to bridge the gap between my splash guards and the bodywork to stop stones. Only slight downside on the newer wagons is styling as most comapnies only cater for the 4door (supply & demand). Some things can be adapted though. Cheers
Smiler AS Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I had ones on my 06' sport saloon but when traded it in for a 56 plate wagon removed them to put in the wagon, had to drill though the side skirt ends with large self tappers, never had any problems since ive put them on though.
nippysweeties Posted October 23, 2007 Author Posted October 23, 2007 (flaps in the wagon are ok though) LOL Cheers lads. No further forward, but at least I know I'm not alone! Nice to have made your aquaintance bogie. I take it you were the grey wagon with the waist level spoiler? Smiler, which flaps have you fitted? Are they Prodrive? I have the - front only - stone guards already, but think I may just go for the full bifta rally flaps. We'll see what today brings! Steve.

At least not the quality ones. So I am on a mission to do so and do it proper like. Managed to fit up one of the rears tonight, but suddenly realised I could no longer see my tools. It was night time already. Will do the rest tomorrow morning and bore you all with a walk through and pics seeing as it's the 'in' thing Cheers, Steve.

Yep, Prodrive and have kept the "L" shape brackets on too, to keep the flaps straight. The only pain is, Im lowering the car tommorrow and have to take them off and put them on again an inch higher for clearance. Il try and get some pics up for you later on. I like em' and find they are a lot better than the splash guards too. Edited October 26, 2007 by Smiler AS
