We need to discuss amongst ourselves a suitable costing to be added and need someone to design a badge for the area. I would say that £10 is acceptable, now we need a badge design. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

jd Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 that is not the idea, the money would go to support the area, i.e. purchase anything rquired for shows and such like. Banners, flags etc.......remember that the items for Newton Abbot came from our own pockets, not cheap when you add it all up.
scooby princess Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 I personally feel that this has been a long time overdue but that could be because i spent over £300 last year of my own money to help make the stands what they are! £10 is a very fair price especially as when you renew your sidc membership you get a £5 discount. This year has been quite hard for all the Regional Organisers as they have ALL put alot of money into the regional clubs as we need to look professional and represent the S.I.D.C in a positive manner but at the same time having fun. The logo needs to be something that represents us as a whole and something we can all use as a logo for the t shirts as well because we all work well together, AS A TEAM. My idea is along the regional designs on the splatt cards but instead of individual areas have the outhline of the south west of England with the words South West Regions within the map area.

On one side, the club needs funding to pay for the flags and banners and stuff but on the other, noone`s likely to want to pay for it when they may not see the benefits. A bit like what happened on sws when they introduced subscriptions if that makes sense.

No one will be forced to make a donation - its an option for people who want to assist with buying stuff we need to continue to raise money for charities like we have this last year and stuff like flags etc. Nobody will loose anything if they do not wish to donate, everyone will still be able to view all the forum etc, but thank you for your valued view, input like this is important
