hi everyone, i used to be a member of kent scoobies, but sad to say i had my last one stolen so couldnt go to anymore meets, but im pleased to say i now have a new one again third time lucky so im back!!! i went to my first meet sunday with my daughter at moddeduk, i was hoping to meet up with some old faces, & some friendly chat, but sadly to say i didnt see any old faces or the kent scoobies i used to know, where have you all gone???, i felt it was a poor showing, have kent scoobies gone posh, please dont tell me ive got to buy a cortina to have a larf & a fun day out, i will be going to a few more meets to see how things go, see ya soon col..

Sorry you feel like that there was a few of us there at kent modded on sunday and made a reall effort to make the stand look good and make everyone feel welcolme we had 14 members turn up which is better than we expected. I dont remember talking to you however there were a few people enquiring into the club and we were all doing out best to promote the club as best we could, I have been a member here for over a year and must say that all of the people that I have met and talked to in the club are a great bunch of people. And if this is the image that we are really portraying then we need to look at doing something about it.

i take it from that you didnt go alot on my company then mate poor show ha!! so glad i tried so hard for this club to make a better image

thanks for the reply eureka, but it wasnt the turn out i expected, maybe it was just an offday, & things will get better, hope to meet more next time, its always nice to meet new & old members, after all without the old ones we wouldnt have new ones, more the better

i think you did an excelent job mate, certainly made me feel welcome on my first ever kent scoobies show !!!!

as you have probably noticed col there is a big divide in the club an has been for a while well to be honest i think it was there when i joined but did not see it, sorry you thought it was poor, eureka has done his upmost as well as vicky to make things better but no one else can be bothered to even turn up 14 cars was a good turn out compared to the 3 of us at the last show which is one reason i went with another club for modded uk.

any way welcome back an hopefully we can turn things around in the club an move on.

That doesn't make sense, you say there is a divide but you can't see it, members have a different opinion on something but that does not mean there is a divide, as for kent modded i don't think 14 cars was a bad turnout and eureka & vicky did a great job for kent scoobies , a few of us had already committed to going to rally day on the sat and had others things arranged for the sun so could not make it.

it was meant to say i did not see it when i first joined but it came more obvious as i went to more meets an kent modded was a good turn out an if people have other things to do then that is totally fine i my self will not run my life around a club

Hi Col, Are you still working on the trains? (assuming I have the right Col)

Its a shame about your old car. It was the black one that we fitted the delimiter to, if I remember right?

As Granby says, there were two events that weekend, with a lot of people committing early to the National Rally day, rather than the local Kent one.

I personally have other commitments most weekends and have not been to any large meets for over a year. (Such is life when you try and be there for your kids). Im still what I feel to be an active member of Kent Scoobies (with good reason), but just not a visible one.

hi hol, & yes you have the right person but im not on the railway anymore, im in the building game, & i reckon if you didnt make my car go so fast the police might of caught the people who stole it lol, i was well pleased with the help you gave me & advice

i know what you mean about commitments too, its not easy for me niether, but im happy now ive got another subaru, so im gonna try & go to as many meets as possible, so hopefully were meet up, & i should of guessed you lot wouldof been at a rally , but i didnt know anything about it, & i didnt know about the modded uk till the last minite niether, but now im back on here i will be paying abit more attention lol & by the sounds of things kent scoobies have alot more members which is good, & by reading about some of the things on here i was very shocked, i cant emagine kent scoobies with a new ro, as pele as been so commited in my eyes, same as you & granby, im all ready looking forward to the drive to southend next sat & the london tunnel run sounds brill, ive never done it & i will be at the meet at the wharf

that will be next saturday...as its still september!! lol!!

I wont be going to the Tunnel Run as its a bit too much mayhem and police for my liking but there are a few going..Dazzlers, trevor etc..i think the thread is titled We should attend this!!
