Hi Guy's . I don't mean to be a spoil sport but those more cost effective gazebo's are a real pain to erect and last about as long as a swans death song. What I was THINKING was that some of the clubs members have small business and I for one, would be willing to make a larger contribution towards the cost of a descent unit that would last a few years. In return I would like to see my business promoted, say on one of the walls. Then the club could purchase a fast erect gazebo. For something good expect to pay about £350-500. My small company would be prepared to commit say £200. It's up to you so lets have your feedback. I have had one of this company's units for some years and there're top kit. £400 buys a 6m 3m unit with walls ect. Have a look.

Did these come with sides or do you have to buy them seperate? Can't see where it tells you on the website.

I have one of these pop up Argos jobbies I take to watch the kids play footie (which is where I am instead of KS meets).

Two other parents have the same one and we often put them up together, cable tying the posts to make one large solid rainproof sheelter for two teams and all the parents to stand/sit under. They take 5mins to put up. -Tops.

The have one wall with a plastic window in, that you can attach vinyl to.

I got mine at the end of last summer and it was cheaper as Argos only sell these in the summer catalogue.

The pack into a small bag that fits through the arm rest hole in the back of my newage so I can still put two people on the back seat. I dont know how big these other ones are, but you also have to think about getting them to the event.

With regards to whatever is chosen, you bolt the legs down onto 5-10mm large metal plate sthat you can them park aa cars front or rear wheel on. It wont be blowing away in a hurry. Its the same technique used for the SIDC banners.

Whatver people do decide, put me down for £20.00.

Andy

YOU BUY THE WALLS SEPARATELY BECAUSE YOU CAN HAVE A VARIETY OF DOORS / WINDOWS COMBINATIONS.

Hi all

We found this one while browsing about

http://www.galatent.co.uk/more_details.asp...;ItemCode=00702

Theres a video on the website too so you can see how its built. It looks quiet strong.

We had one of the pop up gazebos last year at kent modded and the legs on it were no good. All the feet broke and the legs all got bent, thats why we had it really low which was a pain to sit under!!

SUN-LEISURE

GAZEBOS A POWDERCOATED STEEL AND ALL THE JOINTS HAVE REPLACEABLE BOLTS A 6 X 3 UNIT WEIGHTS APPROX 80-90 kgs BUT IS BROKEN DOWN INTO TWO HALVES AND IT HAS CANVAS WITH A BUILT IN THERMAL BARRIER SO THAT IT DOESN'T GET BOILING HOT IN THE SUMMER.

[Hi we had to buy one like the second one you had up, for work, well actually we got four, they are great but a bit of a pain to put up untill you are used to them. (i'm very good at it now and can put one up in about 30 mins with four people helping) But any way getting to the point. do you want to try one before you buy it at least then you could see how easy it is to put up (or not as the case may by) If you do want to try it you will have to let me know as soon as you can as it's a pig to dry when wet. we could have a day out trying to put it up and we could use where I work to give it a go. Although I will have to ask first.

Let me know what you think.

The one i bought was about £200 and it should have been about £250.

The research i did lead me to believe that you should have one with 'storm bars' which reinforce everything.

I am sure i have the receipt somewhere as they also offer discounts and delivery. Someone did tell me that they saw the same thing on ebay a little cheaper.

The thing i have is pretty robust and is pegged down at the legs. It would have to be pretty high winds and i mean high to move it.

Count me in to support it chaps...
