simon_mcwilliam Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 (edited) We as a club have lost our hero forever but we will never ever forget you. Thankyou for putting the impreza on the map, as it was because of what you achieved with subaru which made me want to have one. May You & Your Son Rest in Peace Edited September 18, 2007 by Simmie
Guest Posted September 18, 2007 Posted September 18, 2007 Colin McRae-gone but never to be forgotten. Thanks for the memories. My condolences to all families and friends.
RallyeXpress Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Our thoughts and prayers are with your families, Rest in Peace Colin & Johnny and your 2 friends. A true hero in every way! My wife and I had the privilege of meeting Colin and talking with him last year when he was here in California for Xgames. He was very down to earth and very funny. It was a real honor to have been able to meet him! Here are a few of my pictures. RallyeX At Xgames when Colin & Nicky rolled I captured it with a 28 sequnce shot. In less than an hour I had 1 of the pictures printed and had Colin and Nicky sign it.
stevie mc Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 An ambassador to motorsport the world over An absolute legend And a true Scottish gentleman My thoughts are with the families involved RIP Colin & Johnny

madmanx Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 My friend and i just cant stop talking about this tragic loss of these lives. A hero and a legend in his own lifetime. My thoughts are with the all the families.
dram300 Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 As a parent, I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the families of all concerned. I cannot begin to imagine your grief and hope you are in someway consoled by all of the messages of support from around the world. As a motorsport fan, I have followed his career for many years. I was always impressed by his scruff of the neck approach to each stage - until I saw a short programme with him explaining car dynamics, searching out valuable milliseconds. Then I realised that the man was really a scholar who understood his art. Despite his deep understanding of the art, not many sportsmen guaranteed the tension and drama of Colin McRae where part of his legend parallels the Scottish football team: will he finish the event!!! Scots thrive on hope and ambition. Colin winning the WRC crown delivered many of our hopes and ambitions. A great Scottish legend in the best traditions, sorely missed.
MY94 Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 I don't know what to say that hasn't been said already......but for me he was the most exciting sports man on the planet! We're all going to die,but some never live!Colin lived enough for two lifetimes so don't be sad and celebrate his life!
