v8voodoo Posted September 16, 2007 Posted September 16, 2007 I'm going to chance my arm and will be in the car park with the door dingers Won't be able to convoy up either as I'm going up on Friday and coming back on Sunday, can't handle these early atarts any more...!! I also read that the Essex branch will be running black ribbons on wing mirrors in light of the tragic news on Colin McRae. Do Kent Scoobies intend to be doing similar..? I think it may be a more sombre day after recent events. Nige.
granby Posted September 16, 2007 Author Posted September 16, 2007 (edited) Black ribbons sounds like a good idea Edited September 16, 2007 by Granby
granby Posted September 17, 2007 Author Posted September 17, 2007 Here's a message from Phil about Rally Day Information for those attending Rally Day Colin McRae Tragedy In light of the terrible news of the loss of Colin McRae, his son Johnny and two other family friends, the organisers of Rallyday will be asking everybody attending the event this Saturday to observe a one minute silence at 12:00 as a mark of respect. Also a message from JD about the black ribbons As a further mark of respect by those attending rally day, we will be tieing a black ribbon to the drivers side wing mirror of our Imprezas. To keep this uniform throughout the Impreza community I have spoken with mneame and we have agreed that the Ribbon should be solid black and 1" thick. Length to be confirmed this evening. If you are travelling to rally day please have the ribbon on your car as you travel to the event. If however you are unable to obtain this before the event please come and see us on the SIDC stand.

markie Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Good trip there & a good trip back the inbetween bit lacked.......................well something been 4 years running & this year just seemed missing excitment spesialy when the rally cars were out doing their bit we got bored & came away this is coming from true RALLY FANS all we can say is travelling down with great company & meeting up with great friends made the whole trip worth while + paying our respects to Colin McRae
granby Posted September 23, 2007 Author Posted September 23, 2007 Totally agree markie, the trips there and back were great even though we had to make a few extra pit stops on the way down
wimpy Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 Totally agree markie, the trips there and back were great even though we had to make a few extra pit stops on the way down Sorry to hear you did not enjoy the show, i saw you all leave early. Better luck next time. Cheers Iain
