B14RY W Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Does anyone know where I can get a windscreen for my 97 Turbo 2000 (saloon) As I dont have the funds to pay the amount Subaru would like to charge me. I have a traders policy which is why I dont just get it replaced on my insurance. Thanks for any help Barry
B14RY W Posted August 31, 2007 Author Posted August 31, 2007 Not long off the phone to them and they want £470 supplied and fitted, as they get there screen from Subaru. They will fit new screen and remove my old one for £76, if I can find a replacement.
superstar_tradesman Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Only thing I can suggest is a google search mate.

steven_williams Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 empty post If you are fully comp on your insurance, check your policy it may say w?? where the ?? is the excess you pay the insurance company picks up the rest and it does not affect you NCB.
karps Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 Try a local breakers to see if anyone does windscreens, chrissy got a guy to supply and fit a windscreen to his saxo (at our house) for £65. The guy gets them from breakers yard cos they have to be cut out and nobody takes them, so their cheap. Dunno if their will be many scoobs at breakers though Noel

tazmaniandevil Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Give Stevie a phone at Scottish Subaru Breakers on 0141 884 1555 or 07791988191(mobile) They're in Paisley, but it must be worth a punt and will be much cheaper than Subaru.
B14RY W Posted September 1, 2007 Author Posted September 1, 2007 Already been in touch with them. £30, which is pretty good but they want me to remove it myself. If I can find someone with the know how/tools to do the job, then fantastic.
Bailey73 Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Shame that you are so far away as im in the trade.... ...A lot of traders policies will have glass cover - I would double check with the insurance company, it is also possible to add glass cover to some policies.
karps Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 give this guy a phone he did chrissys windscreen 07930185976 if he cant supply and fit, he might cut the screen out for you. Noel
