Guest AlanK Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 anyone got step by step guide and pics on removing the pads and ECU from my classic? - Going to try and remove these when I go up next week if I can since they shoud not really be bothered with that as part of the salvage. (thats the theory) Also trying to see if I can get the wheels of the car aswell, tho will no doubt need an old set of alloys to put on in place off.
oz *sti* Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 (edited) For pads check out this link Changing brake Pads for a newage but it worked for me when changing my classic pads. As for the ECU which is on the passenger footwell, dont quote me on this but as far as I know it's just a case of unscrew and unplug then that's you unless you need the full wiring loom.... which is a different story and I would not know where to start. sti pretender Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 Remember to disconnect the battery before unplugging the ECU. Don't want any sparks or power surges. Better safe than sorry.
dipsy Posted August 24, 2007 Posted August 24, 2007 (edited) The ecu is held down with a metal cover held in place with four ten mm nuts under the carpet in passenger footwell Edited August 24, 2007 by Dipsy
