rob2006 Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Thought i'd post on here that myself and a few other lads are going to "hopefully" get Andy up here to no mans land for a remap. Is there anyone on here that lives in the Caithness area that would like their car remapped.... Let me know Cheers Rob
JohnSt Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 I know of a couple of guys in Wick that would be interested, however I don't think the timescales would be in the near future !!
iainc Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Is it worth maybe seeing if anyone in the Inverness/Elgin areas (more members there) were interested and maybe moving the "session" closer that way... also means you'll have a longer run home to have fun []
daves2rs Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Im from Aberdeen and was going to be booking Andy F for next month so if this was held in Elgin I would be interested []
rob2006 Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 Thanks for the suggestion but we have the numbers needed to get Andy up to us and all of us would rather complete the remap on roads we know and use the fuel commonly available to us up here - you lot south get the good stuff!!! + we'd all rather not travel. If it were just me on my tod interested then i'd try and arrange something as per your suggestion as that would be cheaper than going to see Andy in Port Seton. Although your suggestion could work to some degree. - Andy has to drive along the A9 north of Inverness so maybe someone from say, Inverness, Alness, Invergordon, Tain, Dornoch, Golspie, Brora, etc etc could participate as they are all bang on the main road anyway without Andy needing to take a detour of his route here/home.
scooby222 Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 if theres a days mapping for andy up in caithness and a days mapping in inverness on his way back down im sure thatd help with his costs- and maybe even manage to get a group discount? i could certainly be persuaded, anyone else?
iainc Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I'm close to Aberdeen but depending on day/time and costs I might be tempted myself []
rob2006 Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 When i spoke to Andy the price of the ECUtek remap on a car without an existing license was £500 + vat (£587.50 inc vat) There was no discount for multiple cars. Its then £200 to get him to travel + £80 per night if an overnight stay is required. Rob
