Hard wired a Tom Tom One??

If so where there any problems?

All tips would be appreciated.

not hard wired a tom tom but have hard wired my camera detector with no issues. (probably because I got a leccie to do it!!)

Hi Bob, I have!

What I did was installed a cigar lighter behind the dash and plugged the tomtom wire in to it.  I then used tape to hold it in.  I did this because the Tomtom's Plug has mircochips and other bits and bobs inside to control the power.  If you cut the wire and simply hard wire it to a live connection it will probably blow your tomtom up.
