Not sure..  But there is a guy from garmouth who recently bought a silver classic not sure of exact model but has the round led rear lights big spoiler and exhaust note that can be heard from nearly 2 miles away []

As I was behind and couldnt get past LOL The WR1 couldnt keep up with him.

 It had standard rear lights though, sti version 5 type r on an R plate ??

Hmnn.. I did see another similar one to what you described going down south street this morning, Had Glenburgie-Subaru website address on the rear side windows.  May not be one of their cars (They gave me the same stickers last time I was up there) but possibly a customer.. Only saw it briefly as it passed but was definitely silver classic with loud exhaust

lol no mate it was last night and it was dry !! only out for 30 mins !!

 Well if you do find out mate, let me know what mods he has, as it was FAST !! slightly faster than the WR1 !!  Granted I did have 3 large men over 20 stone in the car which wouldnt have helped !!

if it was the one im thinking of it was a serious bit of kit! the guy that had it came along to an inverness meet one night, went past my sti ppp like i was standing still! had a 400hp 2.5 engine, leda coilovers , huge ap brakes the lot. it was definitely a silver r reg type r and i know the guy sold it since then- was tempted to raid the piggybank for it!

in fact the only thing he didnt pass that night was a very ably driven wr1 through bends, so maybe losing the big guys would help right enough-but i aint going to tell them to get out []

ahhhhhh thank god for that mate, yes thats the car !!! the more I think about it the more he set me up for the standing start so he could have me LOL

 haha superb, it was certainly fast, upto 100mph he gained i dont know 3-5 car lengths on me from the standin start, I was VERY surprised as the WR1 is rapid to 60 !!

that one used to belong to a guy in Ness, if its the same car, its a beast, very rapid, put a lot of Evos in their place lol. also a youtube video of it humping a superbike across culloden moor []

hiya mate, yeh its Jasons old car, im gonna text him and see who he sold it to, I thought when I first saw it go past when I was at a junction that I knew the car, but it just didnt click.

 I know he was running Motec with a 2.5 bottom end conversion, the car was rapid, and clearly still is, this being the case though the WR1 did well
