jd Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 update: Went to collect the car yesterday, took her for a drive with Martyn Jeffries to make sure all was ok. Found a couple of clitches with the ecu software which need to be addressed so car is still at the garage. As for driveability, yes it is more laggy than the 20g previously fitted but i knew it would be, but when it does spool up it holds 1.5bar all the way to the redline with no let off. The brakes are awesome, bearing in mind they have not bedded in yet! Suspension is firm, but still comfortable. Cannot comment much more as we retunred to the garage not long after starting the drive so they can start working on ironing out the glitches. As this is the 1st Simtec ecu for the newage, I was prepared for them to spend some time with R&D on my car, a little dissapointed, but it will be worth it in the end.
jd Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 not sure, it depends on how long it takes to sort out the ecu glitches.
jd Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 but remember that mine is the 1st simtec ecu for a newage, so development work ongoing.
edmondo Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 yep I know - but I would be ssssssssoooooooo frustrated that there are these glitches that I would want to know when these were gonna be ironed out
jd Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 it is dependant on the software wrighter, martyn phoned him as soon as we got back to garage yesterday and emailed him my map. they are going to build another ecu and test over the weekend.
edmondo Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 cool - so when will that be fitted and ready for a test drive?
jd Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 not sure, they will see what problem is on 2nd ecu before sorting out mine. anti-lag is very very cool though.
jd Posted July 28, 2007 Author Posted July 28, 2007 oooo yes, comment form alan when martyn showed me in the dynon cell was "you are blowing holes in the roof" LOL
edmondo Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 not far then.......................so its the fraggle support vehicle tomorrow - what time are you meeting Kev?
