Bailey73 Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 Afternoon all Well what a day..... ......spent most of my afternoon round at my nan's house bailing out water - it was coming quicker than I could bail. Mrs Bailey also dived in and luckily we managed to avoid some serious water damage to her house. Journey home was no fun - 2.5hrs to do 3miles, the only road home that appeared to be open was seriously flooded, was shaking like a leaf as I sat waiting my turn to drive through the flood. I was at the point where my thoughts were to turn around as I didnt want to risk the scoob in a flood, but then...... ....coming toward me out of the flood was a 2002 Sti and my concerns faded. I must thank that guy for testing the water next time I see him. Still have to find a way of recovering Mrs bailey and Erin from my parents house in Cheney Manor, they have been stranded there since 15.15.
edmondo Posted July 20, 2007 Posted July 20, 2007 took me 30 mins to get from Hawksworth to Home - By St Josephs and along Drakes Way were both well flooded - worried cos water was well over my exhaust...................neednt had - car performed great - got caught in traffic going to and from Hospital this afternoon but nothing like you have had Darren
