fitting amp done my car???

all all i hope someone could help me with a big problem i've got.....well me and a mate were trying to fit an amp and subs in my car today,when all was fitted i took the car for a quick spin,and for some reason i've now got none of the following????

left/right indicators......rev counter......clock......none of the 4 windows open......no dash lights when ket is turned to number 3.......no speedo.....no miles or trip......and also the fan run all the time when the car is running??????......well we took all the amp and subs out and looked over the car in case we pulled a plug out or something,but everything seems ok,but it cant be???? any help would great,......the car w reg 2000 turbo classic....please help,many thanks...gary[Y]

thanks for getting back to me.......no just round where the radio is we took it all out,i looked at the fuses all were ok????????

I've managed to hit the window kill switch before now and not realised it. Could be worth checking for the window problem. Where did you wire the amp into? Straight from the battery or from under the dash somewhere? Could you have shorted something. Only reason I ask is on two circuits, indicators and speakers, if the hazard switch is removed it kills the indicators completely, and if you've got a speakr wire earthing onto the bodywork in the door it kills the stereo (no sound). Could be the same if you've tapped into something major. Normally I'd disconnect the battery again and retrace my steps

Good luck  and if you're not sure go to a pro, electricity can be nasty, painful and expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the hazards lights work??? we have now taken it all out in a hope to find out what happen?? but from what we could see there were no plugs apart??...still the car drives gonna have another look after work tomorrow if no joy i'll take it somewhere to be looked at[:)]

Sounds like an earthing problem inside the car to me??

 

Engine has its earth in the engine bay, check you have good clean earth connection inside the car.
