kenny4130 Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 I need some advice. Everyone I have asked so far has told me something different. I am buying a set of 10-pot Tarox brake calipers with 328mm discs. I am going to be fitting them to a MY00 Turbo Wagon 2000 (UK spec). The car is running on the standard 16" alloys at the moment so I will have to get a new set of 17" wheels & tyres. The chap I'm buying the brakes off had 17" wheels on his car but he can't remember what offset the wheels had. So far I have been told that if I get a set of STi7 wheels I'll be okay, any set that fit over Brembos will be okay, 45mm offset is okay, 48mm offset is okay - So now I'm confused. When I'm scanning the web looking for a nice set of alloys can anyone tell me exactly what I need to get? The last thing I want is to get the new brakes fitted and my new wheels don't go over them! Is it as simple as just going for the right offset and, if it is, what offset do I need? Or can anyone recommend a decent (i.e. look good but at a good price) 17" alloy which covers the Brembos? Thanks!
