I could be wrong, but NGK Grade 7's have always done me fine.. and IIRC are recommended when running higher boost than normal. Andy F recommends fitting them before turning up for a re-map to limit the possibility that the normal grade may not perform well once boost rises. [:)]

Yip thats the ones Andy likes, but don't adjust the gap on them they come set at 0.7 which is spot on

and only tighten them hand tight.

Hi all

I've yet to change the plugs on mine..... they look like a bit of a nightmare to get at. I've changed plenty in the past on both steel and alloy cylinder heads but they've all been easily accessible.

Any advice welcome. Standard plug socket ok for access?

Why only hand tighten when replacing? Are they prone to seizing?

 Cheers.

i dont have an airbox on my car so the left hand plugs werent too bad to do,just awkward.on the right hand side take

battery and water bottle out of the way and not too bad.not sure if a classic is any harder than a newage though.

when tightening new plugs-hand tight and then a half turn should do the trick.
