C J K Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Was on track last week(94 jdm classic) after a couple of laps in the old beast it started missing at about 4800/5000 revs ....coil pack sprang to mind?????,just a brief but definate stutter then was ok towards the red line. Recently changed back to standard air box with TSL panel filter,do you reckon disturbing the Maf could have damaged it thus causing the hesitation problem, driving home it wouldn't do it..only happening on track, maybe the extreme track temps were affecting summit, maybe boost problem. Spec is Prova ecu, decatted down pipe/sti back box, uprated fuel pump and standard air box with grp n spec tsl panel filter. Is a jiggered coil pack easy to spot(never closely looked at one before)...a few days later still cant replicate it,only on track?? ta,Colin
scoobaroo Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Are you sure it wasnt fuel surge, before you go looking for problems elsewhere. Marty.
C J K Posted June 19, 2007 Author Posted June 19, 2007 Had more or less a full tank, happening different points of the track(ie not just coming out of hairpin [])
the squiggle Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 Quote Had more or less a full tank, happening different points of the track(ie not just coming out of hairpin []) Prova ECU is a high end JDM ECU. These are usually mapped for 102 RON. Maybe a combination of the ambient heat on the day and the agressive map contained in the ECU spelled out a Misfire situation
