  1. Right team, think my mind is made up!! No f**kin chance am i chippin it now! Thanks for all your advice cause i'd be devastated if i got it chipped and it pumped ma engine. One more question though... With a remap, replacement panel filter and decat, what will i be kickin out cause i wanna know if spendin all that cash is worth it and one of ma brothers has a P1 and the other bro has a 300+bhp 'scort cosworth and i wanna be in their league!!!   2. that's what i like to hear cause i priced an Apexi Power FC ECU and it's £750!!! What other mods have you got mate to get it to 315bhp/287lbs cause i'd be more than happy if mine was kickin out that? cheers mike
  3. Cheers guys for advice. re-mappin is quite expensive though. What kinda trouble are we talkin if it gets chipped? Yeah i've heard the maf sensors are a bit dodgy
  4. Thinkin about chippin ma MY00 uk turbo, de-cat the exhaust and replace the panel filter with an ITG one. Does anyone know roughly what power it'll be kickin out after that? Cheers

  8. are you not one for 'givin it ping?' All for giving it ping but admiting to it on a public website is not the best idea. The polis have been known to read this forum That is why all speed referneces also have "Proving ground" or "test track" contained in the post Grant Cheers for advice, didn't know you had to put that!! Obviously it was on a test track!

  11. I have a MY00 UK impreza turbo and i hit 140 mph but when i did the CHECK ENGINE light came on, i s**t myself and immediately let off the throttle but as i did the light went off and hasn't been on since. The car is also running fine, any ideas would be much appreciated??
  12. But if this valve is oiled up could it be the cause of the spluttering? Cheers mate Could be, but the tell tail sign of this is normally total cut. But if your keeping your foot down when this happens then that might show the same effects. Well worth a try i would say anyway Will give it a try, cheers mate

  15. Try giving it a clean if you can. Its located on the o/s inner wing. It has a pipe going in the bottom and another in the side. Take the electrical connector and split it before removing the two pipes. Use a 10mm spanner to remove the solenoid from its rubber mounts and then spray in some solvent type de greaser before blowing it through with an airline. Re fit and try it out[] Is this sensor known as the amal valve? I had trouble with one of those little b***ards on an rs turbo i used to have. Anyway i'll give that a go and cheers for your help
