Been seriously thinking off selling my scoob and get one of these! Have to admit that the handling is not as good as the scoob but it is a great drive, built well.... good strong engine.... just take a look at the boot space before you buy though!!!

I had the same once and all it turned out to be was the small fibre gasket on the lid of the coolant tank.... and the coolant was leaking ans steaming off on the engine!

a standard WRX will run fine on unleaded

RS6 would get it and likely to be pulling away from tha point on as well...... they are an awesome car..... just a little boring compared to a Scoob []

What is generally accepted as the maximum power that a Type RA (95/96) gearbox can handle?

The reason I was thinking Scooby was cause I want 4wd and want to get as near to 400bhp per ton as possible [] And I know 350bhp is relative cheap and reliable with the boxer engine! I want a car though not a kit car...!

Trying to find out the kerb weight of the MkII Golf Gti.... I think it is 890kg can anyone confirm this please?

I was also told once that the Scoob boxer engine and gearbox will fit into the chasis of the MkII???? Any comments guys.... planning the next project.... Track Car []

Have to agree fantastic car and can vouch for the clutch....lol.. Drove a Merc and Gally back to back and prefered the drive of the Merc to be honest but the Gallardo felt more nimble round the track.

know how you fell mate, had mine scratched last month[:@] and im sure someone tried to brake into it the other night alarm went off but i didnt see anyone but next day i went out to look and looked like they had tried to prise window open with sommat ,bad thing about the windows not having a frame to go into, but at least alarm scared them off little barstewards[:@]

Exactly the same here mate...... for some reason they tried to prise the rear side passenger door handle off? But picked my car up from AB Bodyworks today and they have sorted my paint work.... someone had also keyed the drivers door... I asked Darren for a loyalty card this time.... seems to be a 2 monthly pilgrimage at the moment!!

well all mechanical moving equipment will be better maintained if it is run regular.... it would be better if someone took it for a run and get everything to temp at least every 2 weeks mate..... but mine sat in the garage for two months... brakes were a little noisy to start, battery was nackered but everything else was ok.
