  2. I like my old ones too, but their in dire need of refurbishment, once they've been done they'll go back on for the winter.
  3. There fine under normal driving, well balanced also, but rubbing on my mud-flaps on full lock parking manouvers. Nothing i can't live with.........more than pleased, cheers mate. craig.

  5. Went to my mate's wedding last week, which was in a large marquee next to a castle on the outskirts of Dunblane. The father of the bride's opening gambit was " Welcome to Colonel Gadaffi's Holiday home! " there was a free bar all day and night, unforgettable...hope your goes just as well. craig.

  10. he may well have a missfire but can't see how that would affect his overheating problem, unless it's the water pump?
  11. maybe worth taking off the top rad hose and the bottom one off then run some water via a hose through the radiator to elliminate the radiator.

  13. maybe worth checking the oil filler cap to see if it's showing ' carmeled coloured oil '= cylinder head gasket gubbed. could be your mates radiator has collapsed inside and blocked if 'top hose is hot and bottom hose is cold' or as doug says could be as simple as an air lock.(make sure you refill with the heater in the 'HOT' POSITION.
  14. it's the 225 bit i was worried about Grant, at present i'm running 215/45/17 which seem perfect. Though i'm sure my power steering is going to be a bit more pissed off!
  15. Just a quick question. Will 225/45/17 tyres fit on a classic?.........with standard STI suspension. thankd in advance.

  18. I find it really hard to read through these posts, as maybe like me most of us never knew Ken i would like to pass on my sympathies to his family and friends. craig.
  19. i've heard today that his accelerator cable got somehow stuck with the turbo kicking in that sent him off and wiping out his near/side on a tree.I spoke to him on the saturday and he was running in a rebuilt engine due to a failure with his last one, glad he's ok but having been up late on friday night to make this event he must be well pissed off.
