  1. Nope, can't get in, I keep getting directed to: http://www.facebook.com/login.php
  2. Not being a member of facebook I can't see the video, but I do have Parada 2s and they are pretty good on the snow as the tread pattern empties itself of snow on each rotation. Most others fill all their crevasses (sp?) with packed snow and become slicks, not so the Yokos.
  3. I think it should be clarified that new age STI has two cats(down pipe and centre section), WRX has a third "pre-cat" in the up-pipe.
  4. What I meant was that the 1st sign of trouble will be when working the engine hard as the pressures inside the cylinders are greatest and those little beads of air will be forced into water (or oil) system. Unless you're going across the Hardknot Pass this is unlikely to be in 1st gear...
  5. I love these resurrected posts. we should do more of them. We used to have one on the 40 - 100 challenge as that is a good indicator of power and torque and doesn't knacker the gearbox quite so much. I'll do a search....
  6. The good news for you is that usually the head gasket shows itself when pushinig hard 1st of all so less likely to be that.
  7. So that's a no then. I could get the spray but it would only be used once and the rest wasted. If my memory of physics serves me correctly then a red film might do the trick as well, I suspect that is easier to come by in small amounts.
  8. I have a bling new boost gauge, as the last one died, which has overly powerful blue LEDs which half blind me in the light let alone dark. I need to tone them down and as there is no rheostat that I can find I shall have to cheat. Other than that it is great. http://www.rspec.co.uk/index.php?main_page...c1d1dc0a1ed041b if anyone is interested. Thanks in advance.
  9. Oil cooler not usually necessaary unless you're tracking a 2.5l. I tracked my 2l for hours and never got a whiff of overheating. Now it's a 2.5 I shall be getting one as it got rather hot just on the mapping session. You need a 19 section one I'm told, they do make smaller but not much point. Intercooler spray rather gimmicky I suspect. never hada one and never missed it. Better is to get a front mount intercooler for not a lot more money (but will need remapping).
  10. Guys remember that lag and spool are different things. Lag is what happens when you change gear and there is a pause until the system repressurises, spool is how fast the engine has to be revving before the turbo starts spinning.
  11. T'is true. Also expect a pretty awful smell the first few times it gets hot.
  12. You'll be lucky to get 350 (not impossible thogh) with that turbo and at the end of the day peak power is mostly a function of air flowed. Your injectors should be fine (though you may want a fuel regulator for safety - oops just seen 'fpr' hidden in there). You should see some max bhp improvement but the torque figure should jump. If bhp is your goal then an TD05-18g would certainly get you to 360 without sacrificing too much spool. Your plugs should be ok.
  13. Wet it 1st - is both critical and brief advice.
  14. I have guides for a single din headunit and autochanger (not yours unfortunately) but it will give clues. PM me your e-mail addy.
  15. Guilty as charged. That is a serious spec and someone has chosen his/her bits carefully. My (business) partner has a 4.5 cerbera but he can't keep that out of a ditch either - except when it is in the dealers of course.
  16. A very big turbo for 450bhp, alot of work required to get this sort of power - unless he is B/Sing you about the figures. If you are unused to 450bhp it will have you in a ditch quite quickly. More details please.
  17. Not much happens in Silverstone's massive new car parks most days.
  18. I think the definition of fog lights is that they are below a certain distance from the ground. You can only show two sets of lights at high beam legally (this used to be the case anyway) so if you have more then they should turn off (i.e. fogs should go off as driving lights come on).
  19. I wave - but forget if I am driving the wife's Galaxy so get puzzled stares from the other side of the road...
  20. There are quite a few people on here who have or have had HMF expereince - or are you just in clink? A quick disclaimer now we know what you do; it isn't literally bomb-proof, stick with a Warrior if you find yourself in that situation.
  21. Presumably it is just a WRX labelled differently. There is an SL version over here that has a few electrical goodies and comfort mods, it might be their version of that. It might be what is called a sport here. Does it have a turbo (bonnet scoop)?
