  1. Tesco's 99 fuel is ~5% bio-ethanol, that's what brings it octane rating up. Fuel trims on our ECU's can cope with that no problem, so you shouldn't see any CEL's. Technically MPG should be worse than V-Power, ever so slightly, but I've never tested it. When I map my car for E85, I think I'll blend it with Tesco99.
  2. What software do you use to map?
  3. Looks good, I was thinking about doing something like this using the Deltadash software and some of the customised gauge software, might do it next year using opensource once I get a dev. car.
  4. Don't have a Pic, forgot to take the reg. It's really distinctive, you'd either know it or not. It has every conceivable STi part on it to make it look like an STi, also Perrin fins in the STi wing.
  5. Just been to look at my brothers mate's car. It's a 2004 WR Blue WRX, with Gold compomotive wheels, tein adjustable dampers(In car controller), CAI, STi Wing, winglets, STi Steering wheel. Think it was traded in at a Subaru dealer, may have been Perth, did this used to belong to someone here? He's not sure if it's been PPP'd, it had a cat on the centre section and downpipe, but it has the Prodrive silicon hose from the turbo to the intercooler. I did a bit of a logging session and it is boosting to around 16PSi(higher than a standard WRX) and holding 10-11 to the red line, it has some knock under WOT, I won't know how bad until I receive by Knockbox cans. So, I'm unsure if it's been ECUTEK'd, I haven't pulled the ROM yet to check. Again, does anyone recognise this car and can shed any light on it's past?
  6. Almost bought this car with my bro(Neil above), I think we offered £1800 before he had it on the market, he wasn't up for it though! Don't remember it looking as good as this when Frank had it!
  7. Hi Jim, Your car is less than 10 years old and so should have gone through an e-SVA test, meaning it has to conform to a model report. If it was done this way, i.e. correctly, you'd be paying more than £185 a year!? Who imported it and how/where did he get it registered/tested? As for the OP, to confirm, it is the year of registration in the UK that counts. My importer managed to put my car through with the date registered as the Japanese registration date, as such, this year I was only £210. Bit dodgy I think, but I'm not complaining. Cheers, Paul
  8. I understand the spolier, but not the badge. FYI, I only used the 4 holes on my car, still going strong.
  9. 41(2)c refers to not altering the car if it increases noise, section 44 refers to the exceptions to section 41 and paragraph 'c' states - "of vehicles or trailers, or types of vehicles or trailers, constructed for use outside the United Kingdom". If they can interprete and read into the technicalities of this act, so will I!
  10. If they're getting you on section 41(2)c of the RTA 1988 and you have an import, quote 44b and tell them to jog on. Won't work with a UK car though.
  11. Bloody 'ell, scoobs must be in the gene's!!
  12. I don't understand why, at 60K, you think your car has lost power. It's probably in the prime of it's life, making stock or slightly above stock power levels.
  13. Nice one, does this mean she won't be taking the white one to work now? P.S. Can I come up sometime to talk suspension? My rear shocks have started knocking(big shock eh!) and am not shelling out for the Subaru ones, only for them to feck up 12 months down the line.
  14. They put the same stuff on the roads in Fife, I generaly try to avoid the roads for a month or so. Usually that's how long it takes for the road to clear.
  15. Does anyone know the guy with the white Spec C that was out on track?
  16. If it was imported after 2001 then you're going to pay higher tax.(£400+) If it was imported before then you're ok. There are ways round it though depending how it was originaly registered. Best to check the V5, if it has no CO2 rating then you're ok, it'll be down as PLG and you'll only pay £185 or so.
  17. My brother has a brand new unused Walbro 255 for a classic, he's in Dunfermline.
  18. I got my T-Shirt a couple of weeks ago, but never received my sticker? I take it that is on back order?
  19. Back on topic, as said previously, you don't have to leave Scooby ownership to get the same turn in and low down pull of an EVO! The only EVO's i'd consider would be a IX GT or MR IX RS, serious machines!
  20. According to a few of the guys from the MLR that were in the studio for filming the EVO takes it.
