  1. Mark, the gains in peak power wont be huge, like Simon says a comfortable 270bhp, but what will be amazing is the area where that power is available. A lot more useable power where you really want it. I also found that the idling, closed loop running etc was better on the apexi than on OE ecu. add a td05 (£200), fuel pump and regulator (£190) and avc-r (£250) to your list for nigh on 300 brake though
  2. Hi Guys, yes it is indeed true I have had a Simon map. We started out in Kent at Simons place and were off to scoobyshootout to do some more interesting stuff. All was going well on the way up, mapped to 1.0bar easily enough on my new 18g. Started to map up to 1.45bar and again it was all going well, in fact, we couldnt believe how fast it was for a humble UK arrived at P20 SPD (Steven and Emma's place) and got suitably twisted. woke up in the morning and Simon wanted to do some more work to the map, checking out where we could start to use some timing to great effect now the fuelling was spot on. unfortunately I couldnt run as I had damaged the inlet pipe installing the new turbo and Simon warned me not to push it. We managed a patch up to get us home and it was time for some more mapping. woo yay! tear assing from Yorkshire back to Kent using the full 1.45bar, through some tunnel and chasing a certain TVR for fun, and doing the business (all within legal speeds you understand). the upshot is that Simon made me feel very safe while he was mapping, and I would definately use him again and recommend him to friends. All the best guys Andy
