About C J K

  1. Seen a red NSX knocking about Perthshire 4-5 times the last couple of weeks, mainly Inveralmond roundabout area, seen it last night up around Pitlochry. Was going to say its not everyday you see one of these but seems to be everytime I'm up North i see it when I'm coming home[H]
  2. Welcome along Mate, nice car looking forward to to pics[] Gus the Bus on here can get exhaust bits at a good price and the quality is superb. Col
  3. Thinking about maybe a Forester as the family bus but unfortunately the lack of 3 x 3point belts in the back til later models is a drawback.2000 onwards I think, which is £5.5k ish onwards maybe, for the S turbo is when the 3x 3 pointers start. Question is can you get the middle belt converted to a 3 pointer, obviously talking about getting it done by a certified installer...if it can be done in the first place....which i have my doubts[] Anyone any ideas?? ta,Colin
  4. Hoy! I've also a S70 T5 its the family bus, would sit at 150 aw day ,dont knock them....would piss over a standard scoob in a straight line(once its stopped spinning its wheels mind you[:$]) oooh and I'm 40....middle aged ??
  5. It was Jamies new age which had equal length headers, this is his old jdm classic.Deffo standard headers on it....need to lookout for a new back box. Wagon, pm a price for your H&S box, Gus you have P.M...........dont mind loud,as long as its the right loud[8-)]
  6. Gus sorted me with my centre section Mate[H]
  7. Not long since fitted centre decat pipe, now fully decatted/straight through, have a back box which is stamped STI which has been cut open and altered,it was HiSoobs old car....sure he told me the baffles had been removed. Anyway at first I thought it was ok sounding, kinda more raspy/rally car sound than the rumble, now i think, after only a week of being fully decatted,it sounds more like a chav chariot on speed damn loud but not the right loud. So question is what back box is gonna compliment the straight through pipe and give me an earth shattering rumble.Got to get it right first time,so looking for something tried and tested and preferebly cheap/used[:$] Colin
  8. Had more or less a full tank, happening different points of the track(ie not just coming out of hairpin [])
  9. Was on track last week(94 jdm classic) after a couple of laps in the old beast it started missing at about 4800/5000 revs ....coil pack sprang to mind?????,just a brief but definate stutter then was ok towards the red line. Recently changed back to standard air box with TSL panel filter,do you reckon disturbing the Maf could have damaged it thus causing the hesitation problem, driving home it wouldn't do it..only happening on track, maybe the extreme track temps were affecting summit, maybe boost problem. Spec is Prova ecu, decatted down pipe/sti back box, uprated fuel pump and standard air box with grp n spec tsl panel filter. Is a jiggered coil pack easy to spot(never closely looked at one before)...a few days later still cant replicate it,only on track?? ta,Colin
  10. 1st time on track in about 6 years so whatever the way the 2.5 hours of tuition was set up I was going to enjoy it. It was a car and bike session about a dozen of each.40 minutes or so in the class room, then we were split into 4 groups each with an instructor.Quick coupla laps all in the one car with instructor, then follow thy leader(instructor) for about 20 dull laps, dont profess to being a knockhill expert but b'jeezus this bit was pretty mince after about 5 laps, obviously for total novices which I suppose these gift voucher sessions are set up for?? After this it was a half hour of free track time, bikes first, then us after a couple of laps in the old beastie it started missing at about 4800/5000 revs ....coil pack sprang to mind?????,just a stutter then was ok towards the red line. Kinda tried to keep it under 5k for the remaining 20 laps or so . Recently changed back to standard air box with TSL panel filter,do you reckon disturbing the Maf could have damaged it thus causing the hesitation problem, driving home it wouldn't do it[:^)]..only happening on track, maybe the extreme track temps were affecting summit. All thing considered it was a good way to get back on the track after a long absence...and the auld banger more or less survived[H] Colin
  11. got my 2.5 hrs of track time booked this afternoon at knockhill(40th b'day pressie voucher type thing),anyone in the vicinity from 16.30 watch out for the auld silver classic understeering into the undergrowth...... ...now where's the tyre pressure gauge [8-)] Col
  12. If you buy yin give it a wee blaw of lacquer before fitting,Urban fitted one to his 07 sti and it got a wee bit rusty in the corners,Revolution told him it wudni need it..........apart from that it really finishes off the the front end.
  13. Urban(Steven) ,my neebs down the road has a ppp hawkeye I'll point him to this thread but i think he's away down sarf till Thursday.
  14. and dont you forget it [] Urban is baby sitting my auld classic the noo, whilst the builders are at mine,13 years between them.........still reckon mine looks the part even against Stevens Beastie [:$] (an' a ken whit sounds better,eh Urban[]) Some crappy pics of the two together, not the usual standard of photography posted on here ...sorry[:S]
  15. The works are only on over the w/end Col,it is pretty slow going,I went over about 5pm Saturday ,cost me a good half hour.
