If you're looking for a classic impreza in Scotland then check out the items for sale section under Tyresqueal. I'm fortunate enough to be moving down under, so migh be looking to set up a Sydney chapter. Anyway, my loss could be your gain.

Was my neighbour who rolled the red astra - and to think I let him drive the scoob during JOG!!!!!!! Although he said it was on lap 8 I'm inclined to believe Col. Funny thing is that we were joking during the week that he'd roll down duffus and he did. lol Excellent pictures as usual - 15/10!!! -
I did mine with Harley's in 2000 and the instructors were tops. Jim Harley the owner is a top bloke too - don't forget to ask if they've any last minute specials on the price - I got a few quid knocked off.

Had to go down to the dealer in Ayr last weekend and EVERY scooby I passed waved back - y'all get my vote for friendliest region!! Cheers!

Mmm interesting, but sounds like another urban legend to me. Most maf issues i've heard of seem to be related to excess vibrations. I reckon if you were to drench it in oil there could be a problem, but I keep my oiling to a minimum and haven't had any issues so far. I'll keep you posted. Anyone else heard of this issue???

I had an HKS panel filter in my wrx and recently changed to a k&n 57i kit - guess what, i used to get occasional cel warnings and now i don't. Would recommend the k&n kit, particularly as they're designed for each version (mine's specifically for jap classics and mounts solidly to inner wing thus protecting maf). Sounds awsome when gulping in the air and my bailey dumper makes a really hard core noise now as well! I do always run with optimax however.

Why does everyone talk horsepower - the best mods I've made to my classic are adding 17" rims with Bridgestone 040s 225x45x17 and a thicker whiteline anti-roll bar with uprated drop links. Anyone can go fast in a straight line, but on a twisty road - see ya!!! However, once you get used to the speed a 2.5 conversion with hybrid turbo, de-cat, andy f re-map and nitrous etc etc gives you something to dream about at night, mmmmmm yes baby! Remember the old pirelli saying - POWER IS NOTHING WITHOUT CONTROL - look at how quick a wrc car is over a stage and power is restricted!!!! Your wallet contains all the answers.

I'm up for this too - did the scottish at ingliston and had a right laugh. My neighbour was gutted i didn't take him and wants to know the next time i'm doing it, so that makes two of us!

I've got a '93 wrx and early ones like this have a closer ratio gearbox. This means fantastic acceleration (just ask newer sti pilots), but my mpg suffers as a result (23/4 on a good day). The other unusual difference i've noted is vented rear brakes where early 2000s had solid. The fronts are crappy two pot calipers as well! There's also no ABS, but I think this is only in the really early cars like mine. Power quotes tend to be unrealistic for wrx as 240-260 is based on jap 100 ron fuel. Once run on super this drops to close to uk 2000s apparently. Need to get mine on the rollers to find out output and to see if the cat back 5zigen, k&n 57i filter and running optimax make a difference. When's the next dastek day?

I've got to throw in my tuppenceworth and suggest you go for a Honda Integra Type-R DC5. You'll get an import for less than the ST, the car will start first time everytime, probably out-live you and has enough comfort, style and performance to keep you happy. There also aren't too many around so has that "ooh, what's that?" factor. Dicksons of Dunblane are quoting just shy of £20k for a new one. The following link shows a delivery miles only example for £19k: http://www.dicksonsmotorgroup.co.uk/vehicl...8199&popup= P.S. I'm not affiliated in any way - honestly!!!

Hi All Just back in the land of the employed and payed up my SIDC membership tonight. I appreciate that I'm too late to register, but would love to run up to JOG with you all from Stirling if that's cool? Cheers, Nic.
