Yup, I was in the Orange Exige but was one of the only Elise/Exige that was happy with the conditions. I had T1Rs on for the winter instead of the usual Yoko 48s. They were fantastic in the wet. Looking forward to dry days with the 48s though. The silver Evo was driven well and had way too much power for me on the straights. The burgandy scooby kept good pace but he was kind enough to let me past and I managed to get a little distance between us. White Scooby; just interested what it was running. Met you in ASDA carpark but didn't get chance for a chat at KH. To the next KH in 2007

I was part of the Aberdeen contingent that passed but Iain was not part of our group. Road conditions were awful especially on that part of the road. I spoke to the guy who owns the Drum shell garage and told him (local knowledge). He reckons that part of the road is bad when it rains as all the rain runs down the hill and forms a puddle. I was driving along (Exige) and spotted what looked like standing water and proceeded to brake and slow down to about 50/60. No longer had I done that then out of the spray I spotted the scooby with a white van parked up so I knew he was getting help. I don't think anyone would intentially ignore the fact someone crashed and carried on "to get to KH on time." I'm not saying that the blow out is not true but giving the weather conditions and what looked like standing water I would say that was the problem and the blow out was to soften the blow or hide that the driver was not driving to the road conditions.** At least no one was hurt. There was another crash after KH, apparently an Elise but not heard from the owner yet. G **possibly just thrown petrol into the fire.

Is it just me or do scoobies depreciate like no tomorrow? Looking around pistonheads and the classifieds from here and prices really seem to have stumbled. 2 year old Sti's with prodrive are going for £15K-£18K, they were £30K new!! What's a mint 2 year old scooby for £17K going to be worth in another 2 years? £8K??

Lotus Elise 135R? I guess I'm checking out what sort of interest there is in my car. Possibly looking to buy a newish (under 3 years old) Scooby Sti ideally in black with low miles - under 25K miles. My wife is pregnant therefore looking for more room for the bambino. So I guess if anyone would like to p/x I "could" be interested. For those of you that don't know the Lotus Elise 135R are rare and none are as rarer as mine! 150 made and my one is Number 1. Originally the press car. Not the one that was hooned around a track but the one used for taking pretty pictures. So 135 bhp but probably more likely around 145/150 0-60 in 5.3 and top speed around 130mph Has Lotus Sport Suspension Black OZ alloys which comes with Yokohama A048's (cut slick, all of which are newish). Car also has a s/s Larini Exhaust - 3 months old, cost me £450 odd but can be taken off and replaced with standard one. Hurricane Induction Kit My wife is due in July so I may look to change after then. I've only ever driven a bug eye WRX but it's not quite what I'm looking for. Agree. Far too late braking on cold tyres. Front locked a little. T'was a scary moment. All I remembered was the two evos coming behind me. Phew! G

I was the silver lotus spinning. Yoko 48's aint too hot in the wet. Did anyone get better picc of my car? Cheers
