  1. Very helpful advise as usual folks cheers[] The plan is to get rear whiteline ARB thenget the Geo set up. Thanks Again Allan
  2. Cheers peeps[] Much appreciated.
  3. Does anyone know what are the best settings for fast road use and where's best to get it done in the Aberdeen area? Cheers Allan
  4. Cheers Dan [] It's not as much fun as the Type R i.e. understeers more but a rear ARB will be next to cure that hopefully. It's alot bigger and not as nimble feeling. I sometimes think I should have gone for the Version 9 With the Variable Diff but this will do for now. Allan
  5. I use www.photobucket.com with no problems.
  6. Cheers Fai, Rossco_ bought my Type R, but it's still in Aberdeen. I did toy with the idea of A4 diesel but glad I went for another one, all be it a bit not as wild!! Am just away to fit the decat pipe that arrived this morning from Gus. []
  7. Doh!...Never mind. If I can't find anything else I'll be in touch next time home to see if you still have it. Thanks Again Allan
  8. I'll take it please. When are you home? I'm home on thursday for 3 weeks and ideally was wanting to fit it before I try some small things to help keep the temps down, (been speaking to the laggers offshore!!). Would it be possable to pay for it and pick it up monday 6th Nov or soon after? I fitted my Defis on my last car so will hopefully manage it. I was intending fitting the display in the wee change pocket but I'll know better when I see it. Thanks Allan
  9. That was the plan, fit what I can now and collect the rest in time for the remap. I'm not looking for hugh BHP around 330bhp would be nice. Also looking to get the handling sorted, It's night and day compared to my old type r. It'll just be a bugger having new toys and not being able to play with them!!
  10. I think that would be the sensible thing to do. Thanks Again Allan
  11. Cheers Craig I thought he might be. Another question that you might be able to help me with. Is it ok to fit the 65mm APS cold air induction kit (03 UK STi) without a remap? I've heard you can but would like it confirmed before I buy one. Probably will get a remap next year which will release more horses but trying do improve things without one at the moment. Thanks Allan
  12. Russell, Do you still have any Nomad Racing Temp sensors in stock? Cheers Allan
  13. Interesting, anyone else fitted the 65mm APS one without a remap?
  14. Graig, Did you need a remap after fitting the dump valve? Allan
  15. Mark, Are you saying, with the 65mm you don't need a remap? If so that would be ideal cause I don't have enough pennies for that at the moment. Cheers Allan
  16. I'd be after a rear adjustable ARB for 03 STi and anything else recomended to get rid of this understeer. I miss the Type R!!
  17. Cheers []
  18. bump
  19. Russel, I was after your contact details to give to a guy who's needing his Legacy B4 serviced. Think I'm also after a service in the near future aswell. Cheers Allan
  20. Cheers folks, Quite happy with the way it looks after a good wash and polish, the problem will be keeping it that way. It's completly different to the type r to drive, tends to understeer more. The type r was more like a Go-Kart and very hard just to go for a lazy drive. The STi is more of a compromise, which is what I was after. It's only 265bhp just now so I might up that over the next year, we'll see. Cal - Sorry it wasn't me I work for the dark side [] on the Andrew Platform. Yes the refection of the neighbours tiles do give a nice carbon fibre effect!! Cheers Allan p.s. Mudflaps are off ebay from Performance Creations.
  21. Just waiting on my Scott Lowe splitter now.....[]
  22. Mick at Scoobymania has some in, Failing that, Alyn @ AS Performance (0191 410 3770 - tell him I sent ya!) usually helps me with either these of the next best thing - K&N Panel Filter. I have one in the house somewhere. It has 5K on it and I am sure I can sort you out with it if you haven't got one by the time I return from Singapore (Feck knows when that will be!) Russell Sweet give me a holler when you get back man, if i havent sourced a K&N or an STi one by then I was told that a K&N Panel filter was bad news for the MAF!? Guess it depends on who you speak to. Downie fitted the HKS the first time he serviced it for me, (at least 2 years ago) and I've never had any problems. Maybe lucky? I suppose you wouldn't go wrong with a genuine STi one though. Cheers Fonz
  23. Think it's an HKS one, from Brian Downie.
  24. Ross, I had an APS cold air induction kit on my last car. It's very loud, seems to echo in the wing. But I'd be carefull with the MY00 as they use a K&N Filter and as said above is more than likely to knacker the MAF. A better option would be to use ducting to catch cold air from the vent below the right indicatior and direct it to the standard air box. Do a search it's been done heeps of times before. I wouldn't like to see my old car go pop!! Al
