Thanks guys Gumball can see why you were so thrilled with your 20G mate , the thing hits like a sledge hammer. Thanks Paddy the 20G upgrade is just AWESOME mate thanks again to" THE AWD GUYS ". Will you be at Knockhill on Sunday Paddy Grants registering me for the 1/4 mile should be a laugh , my first time. All thats left to do is order a set of 332 X 32mm STOPTECHS that Sam is helping me source. The sooner the better Stopping is becoming a problem.A BIG ONE. Cheers Craig

To Grant , Dave & Paddy at AWD Motorsport for fitting the 550 ' s , AFTDO5/20G , gauges and moving the APEXI. Grants asked me to go to Knockhill this sunday to represent AWD , will be my first time there so really looking forward to it. Especially as an AWD car. "THANKS A LOT GUYS ALWAYS A PLEASURE , SUPERB SERVICE AS ALWAYS" And to "SAM ELASSAR" up in DUNDEE for mapping the MOTEC.Mapping took approx. two hours along with some diagnostics. The difference in the 20 G compared to the VF22 is just amazing. The map is smooth and powerful pulling right up to the red line without tailing off. Sam was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended. " STUNNING " Thanks Sam And a big thanks to " Andy Forrest " for the 20 g .Id heard reports of his turbos being very good but this thing totally blows you away. All in all a great day " THANKS TO EVERYONE " Craig.

brake upgrade kit or discs & pads ?
craig_murray replied to craig_murray's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Im trying not to spend too much would like to keep it under a grand. I know the AP 6 pots with 355mm's are amazing but the cheapest ive seen them is £1495 at TSL Motorsport in Nottingham. Im running 18 inch P1s so the 355s should fit. Has anyone seen the AP 6 pots cheaper and where ? Kenny McGee where did you buy your Godspeed kit and pads from sounds good for the money mate. Does anyone else have experience with this kit ? Thanks again guys. Craig -
There is one thing in a long list of mods i seem to have neglected. " STOPPING QUICKER " Should you spend money on a brake upgrade kit or better discs and pads ? Looking for any advice, prices & where to purchase. I have a classic wagon with the subaru 4 pots & 294mm discs. ( all standard ) After re-map were hoping for 370-380 bhp so better brakes is going to be essential. Thanks again Craig.

Thanks drb5 appreciate that. -
Hi all looking for some advice guys , the wagon was picked up on wednesday night by AWD after the VF 22 let go a few weeks ago. The AFTDO5/20G is ready and waiting to be fitted and the 550cc's will be delivered on monday. The advice im looking for is , can i drive the car safely from AWD in Perth to Dundee with the 550's fitted but not yet mapped. I am currently running 440's with the Motec. I need to get it to Dundee to get Sam Elassar to map it. All help and advice greatly appreciated Thanks Craig.

I would love to be around the 380-400 mark if possible but more importantly as much torque as possible. Not sure how much boost would be required for that , is 1.5 bar ok or should i stick to 1.4 bar ? Not sure about plugs probably still on 6s ill get a new set of 7s ordered up. I realise at these types of power figures on standard internals your in the lap of the gods. Not using any gauges apart from whats on Apexi can you suggest any worth while ones ? Bit like yourself too many gauges would drive me into the nut house or AWD every day. How long were you running over 400 for Alan before the 2.5 ? Craig

Alan if you dont mind if i list my mods can you give me your valued opinion on the mods and anything else you can suggest to keep it safe and reliable to a point and anything else you can think of. I was talking to Grant at AWD there and hes going to send a truck down for the car next week and hopefully Andy F will bring the turbo up on the 11th.I think there having problems sourcing SARD 550cc injectors for me. Mods so far; PACE FRONT MOUNT AND UPRATED RADIATOR WITH TWIN FANS MOTEC M800 UPRATED FUEL PUMP APEXI AVC-R 3" STAINLESS SYSTEM 3" STAINLESS DOWN PIPE ( WRAPPED ) STAINLESS UP PIPE ( WRAPPED ) STAINLESS HEADERS ( WRAPPED ) TURBOSMART DUMPVALVE AP RACING 3 PIECE ORGANIC CLUTCH STI RELEASE BEARING AFTDO5-20G 550CC INJECTORS MAGNECORE LEADS AWD COLD AIR KIT IN INNER WING i think thats everything you tend to loose track. Again , thanks Alan. Craig.
