Although a relatively low poster but been on here for 12 years still trying to get you all to come to the NBO
I spend lots of time on various forums and all are down on footfall
After a few years you actually run out of things to talk about
Our BSPOC forum Is flying with posts every day
Could be because we have diversified and only half the members have subarus ,the rest a varied selection of performance cars
The chav element has destroyed many forums with the more mature members giving up trying to help them with constructive advice
The main thing that is slowing forum traffic down is Facebook
It's so user friendly and where you win with it is so easy to post pictures ,instant messages and easier to use at work when you just have access to your smart phone at spare times of the day .
Fb will help any forum with quick messages and of course directing people to the main forums
You can also get out reminders or new information quicker to people and of course
People share the info with potential new members
I predict in the future even more decline on forums and people moving to fb for a quick access to the forums

Great pictures as always
Nice to catch up with you also for a chat at the NBO
Next year I will just pm you all the NBO details as I didn't see anyone else from here at the NBO
We had an excellent turnout from Ayreshire scoobs and b-SPOC though so that was over 20 cars from Scotland and a few long distance guys from down south
-
Looking forward to seeing that at the NBO 11
3rd class classics
-
I rembered the first NBO there was a good turnout and at NBO 3-4 sidc had a great display with 6/8 cars and the last sidc was I think NBO 5 and there was 2 cars on display
Which if i rembered correctly was Callum and te lad with the white corsa who did the epic lands end to John o groats run
Cumbrian Scoobs met them in Cumbria with our donation and led them up to Lockerbie then the ayreshire boys rode shotgun with them think Callum raised over 17k
So im at a loss where the sidc members are
I was a member from 2000/2003 untill I formed Cumbrian Scoobs and TTs were formed along with the LADS ,CADS ,SMACs RB5s and NYIOc &WYIOC groups
I had a vision after NBO 1 where we had 2 clubs in the north and sidc were national of linking everyone up as clubs
In the past few years we have had 12/14 clubs every year (there has been a few clubs disappeared also ) and I have watched the number of independant drivers or billy no mates as we call them go down to as few as 30 last year as they have all joined Subaru clubs in their area so I'm still at a loss where the SIDC members are ?
Possibly Scotland or down south still ?

It will look good in my Subaru fleet and will replace the 350z
Defently my mid life crises car and cheaper then a Porsche for me too
Can't wait
Subaru website are now taking details for it
-
Looks like I'm the winner at the moment
11 years and 4months
Greenwagon since new but I'm bit worried about the mileage 59k on it
WRXd is 2years 4 months since new
Saving up for the BRZ to replace the now sold 350z in the fleet
Will keep the classic forever
Little bit of rust on the rear arches but going well
-
Here is my classic got brand new 10 years 8 months ago
57 k miles
Only mods
Eibach springs and braided brake lines ,engine untouched
Garaged and washed and polished constantly
With its younger brother
And it's sister 350z
I love my Scoobies old and new

Lordys traditional Christmas message
Let us all have a great christmas and happy new year
May the fuel prices tumble to half price
May car insurance reduce in price too
If not ,does it really matter?
We have the beat of the flat four and the smiles that they gave us as we go round the twistys at silly speeds ,and break the boy racers hearts at the all important traffic lights grand prix
May Subaru keep on making good looking designs and may we preserve our classic cars in our heated and carpeted garages.
Let us keep the dreaded rust away from the rear wheel arches .
May all the classic ,bug eye, blob eye ,hawk eye owners eventually agree that the new age hatch and is a thing of outstanding beauty and agree to move ahead with times and all just agree that all subarus are equal
As our numbers get smaller ,as the chavs blow up the engines ,run out of money and scrap them and leave the fold, those of us that are left let us all unite in recognition of our beloved subarus
and continue modifying and polishing for the rest of our lives .
See you all at the NBO 9 Sunday 26 th June as normal

I was in the sidc when I first got my scooby ten years ago and paid for three years but I found in them days all events were down south
There was a position for a regional organiser from Cumbria so I enquired to be told the post had been filled for Cumbrian region but no mobile phone number soni rang the bloke a couple of times and nothing was ever planned or organised so with a couple of others I formed Cumbrian Scoobs and was involved with tts in the north east which within a year we had 100 members and a booming club
Then I formed the Nbo
First year was great we had 14 sidc cars in attendance And then the Nbo 2-3rd had 3/4 cars on the display as it's too far to travel upnto Yorkshire
I remember at a tts meeting planning to set up a rival club called the nidc northern Impreza drivers club In 2003 ,we never actually got it off the ground as lancashire and midlands and yorkshire were all setting up clubs as fast they could so the sidc lost their way north of Birmingham ,a shame really
Our club memberships are a tenner a year which seems to be the going rates and the clubs survive with regular meetings and discounts etc for members so I think the sidc have to looknat what they can offer to members for the fee ,I've still got many of the early copies of true grip ,but total Impreza have filled that market for subarus
NBO 9 I allready set up for last weekend in June next year so would look forward to the sidc having a display as the sidc national Subaru car show never really got off the ground despite me offering my help a few years ago

wellcome to all the scooby fanatics out there
I hope you have had a great xmas and santa fetched you everything that you desired ,
and most of all we should celebrate the fact that the subaru is alive and kicking and the flat four is making a nice burble through your decatted exhausts and I hope you feel lucky to have remaps ,lowered suspension ,uprated springs, bushs and droplinks and many other toys that help us max out our credit cards
may we also hope that our SWAGS (subaru wifes and girlfriends )never find out the true cost of such items or we will be in the dog house
.
thanks go to all our suppliers that give us these necessary things in life after we work so hard for the pennys.
may we give thanks to our speed detectors and just sheer good luck that stops our driving licences getting points and hope and pray that the dreaded Gatsos cameras will one day soon become extinct .
May we hope and pray that Optimax will come down in price so we can drive further on less cash and that we can get from A to B as quick as we can before the fuel gauge moves as fast as our boost guages
Lets hope and pray that Subaru learn that the classic was the best looking car and start making these again and that the new STI is as good as previous modles and that our negative views on the new shape that has just came out will turn to positive views when we all drive the new STI
May our beloved Subarus continue to give us the WOW and Hugh Grin factor and stop our ageing by making us feel young again when we turn the Ignition keys
and finally I look forward to seeing you all at the
NBO6 on Sunday 15th june 2008 at Lightwiter valley where the NBO will hit new levels and new concepts for all you Subaru fanatics out there
Drive carefully and remember
Subarus are for life not just for Xmas .
