  1. Hi guys i have used the Honda Inca Pearl, it is close but has no metal flake and isnt that good a match to the metallic sparkle, the best i have used is an enamel paint from Humbrol and it is a metal brass finish the code is 54, try your local model shop, it is good for cosmetic finish but may not stand up to repeated heat from say track day usage, thats my tuppence worth.
  2. How long was it in for a respray, did you check the mileage before and after, i suspect that one of the people doing the respray took the car for a spin and maybe did some damage to the car. Have a quiet word with the owner.
  3. Place an identifiable mark on the battery somewhere and get Subaru workshop to do the so called replace battery, and check that they are not just fobbing you off with lies, and check when you get out of the workshop to see if they are changing the battery, then you can pursue the matter of the car draining the battery and not just the original battery being left in place all this time.
  4. I travelled down also to look at a car and i confirmed prices also before getting there, when i got there the car was not as it was described as it had been covered in paint stripper at the rear of the car and the patch up job was poor and they wanted more money than agreed. A lot of the cars seem have a lot of obvious repairs or broken parts from transportation. But dont just take my word, i am just putting in my tuppence worth.
  5. I spoke with customer services at shell pluspoints and if you are an optomax card holder your points will carry over and you will get the new v power cards probably next week as there is a bank holiday this weekend. She also said if you fill up with v power on Monday's you will get double points . Regards Brian.
  6. And before you ask Acid, yes these replica pff7's will fit over the 4 pot calipers. Regards Brian.
  7. Hi, If you want pff7 replicas have a look for wheels called Redline, a description is here, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/17-PLATINUM-REDLINE-...oQQcmdZViewItem . I got mine sent up from Midland Wheels Ltd, based in Warwickshire, I got a wheel and tyre package that included new chrome wheel nuts and a set of locking nuts plus carriage incl vat for £565. I got them in Gold and if you want them also in Gold then i would ask them to put a bit more paint on them, they do seem a bit thin on paint on my set, but they do look good all the same, if you are near Fife then you can come have a look, or i can take some pics. Regards Brian.

I hope that somebody from Shell reads this and understands the consequences of losing custom to other suppliers of fuel. It may mean using BP Ultimate fuel and more bottles of millers octane booster for me soon.]" src="/emoticons/emotion-4.gif">
  9. i wave at all scoobies, but i have noticed that new age owners dont wave back.
  10. If you need to find Optimax then use the shell station finder and type in the address you need and it will show you all the available stations nearest to you, try this link, optimax finder
  11. I was at Dastek today and i stocked up on millers octane plus and prices are good.: So if you are in the Dalgety Bay area at some time, then it is worth passing in for some. They are stocking a host of equipment now as well as servicing cars and fitting Unichip's.

  16. Hi Andy, Here is the address for Dastek. Dastek UK Ltd Dastek House, 16 Ridge Way, Hillend Industrial Estate, Dalgety Bay, Dunfermline, Fife KY11 9JN Brian.
  17. Sorry to hear the news. Is the car reported on www.twoc.co.uk, if not it might be worth a try. I hope this doesnt put Darren off Scooby's. I will keep an eye out for the car as i suppose so will others, good luck in getting it back. Brian.
  18. Hi Darren, It was good seeing you yesterday at Falkland, and i am glad you are happier now, but just think when you get your boost problem sorted then you will be even happier. If you want to go to Dastek then check out this link, as there is a spare slot, Dastek Rolling Road Brian.
  19. Jason, What time do we have to be there on the 25th at Dastek? Brian.
  20. Hi Jason if you need directions or a map, try yell.com and type Dastek in the company name part in the search area, and type Dalgety Bay in the located in area, and after doing the search click on the map/directions in options at near bottom left, then fill in the relevant personal postcode and click plan route and voila, you can then print the directions off if you need them. I am in Burntisland, i dont need directions as i am 5 miles away from Dastek. I'll see you there on the 25th. Brian.

  22. Hi Guys, Could no's 8, 21 and 22 on the list state what model you are running, ie classic or new age. By the looks of it no 21 is a classic and so is 22 but No 8ft> (Scott P), let us know for definate.
  23. What a difference, the car looks good.
  24. Just a note of caution. As i know of an owner of a MY98, who also had his standard scooby wheels refurbished and powder coated, only to find a month later that the wheels were cracking, due to the porous metal being aggravated by the heating processes and leading him to scrap to the wheels altogether.
