  1. i really like it and would love to own one but dont have the money and already have 2 projects and a daily driver so wife wouldnt let me anyway. Still tempted to find a subaru dealer and take one for a test drive when they become available.

  2. thanks for all the welcomes and as of wednesday i am officially a subaru owner. car is tucked up at my parents place at the moment. going to get it sorted over the next couple of months then when i turn 25 in july ill put it back on the road. If anyone knows of a garage to rent in berkshire id be interested in details.

  3. Ill try not to rant on but its really bugs me that alot of small engined new cars are tax free, they still use the roads so they should be taxed and people with classic cars that use the roads to get to car shows and on nice days in the summer still have to pay the full amount. there is a petition to bring in a 30 yeaer rolling tax exemption again but i dought it will happen. it does bug me that you can go and buy a new small engien car and use it every day and people with "performance" and "4x4" gas gusslers pay higher rates to even it up.

    rant over.

  4. ive seen the us one a few times, first time i watched it i thought it was rubish but the last series or two that have been played on bbc three i thought were good.

Topgear uk i do agree has got a bit stale and scripted but i really love the last show of the series with the rallycross and episode with the BRUTUS and the bently copy with the meteor engine in was cool.

  5. Thanks for the welcomes people. I dont think it will take too long to get it sorted. The imobiliser drain the battery and when driving if you put ur foot down it really holds back. Could be ignition, fuel related or maybe an airflow meter but will look into it when i get the car the it just needs some serice items suck as brakes and a cambelt change then it will be good to go.

  6. Hi, Im soon to be acquiring a 1999 uk impreza turbo from my cousin. He has owned the car since new so i will be the second owner and i know its been looked after. This will be my first subaru and recently it has developed some problems so im hope i will be able to find some usefull info to be able to fix it. When its all sorted and running right i plan on using it as a weekend toy and do a few trackdays with it then do a few mods as time goes on. Also look forward to coming to a few meets and shows when ive got the car on the road.

Couple of pics of the car.
