  1. I hear Richard Henry is good - Im not pimping or anything but Im from West Yorkshire too - and everywhere Ive read seems to point in his direction - I believe he is in Bradford somewhere. Never used him.

Im not even sure if he does re maps but anything to do with subarus and West Yorkshire - his garage seems to come up alot on other forums.

    Worth a look thou.http://www.richardhenrymotorsport.co.uk/

  2. Nah it is worth mentioning - because its a body modification - as far as I am aware depending on the insurance firm and speaking to past owners of sports who swapped a bonnet over - it didn't raise the cost of the price and if it did it was only marginal like £30 -

Me - I thought about it because I had an accident where a cyclist decided to go into battle with me stationary and I came out on top however created a small dint - yet his insurance company paid out. So it did cross my mind to change the bonnet over for a second hand one - however Im proud that its a sport - end of the day its an impreza - just missing a turbo - could say at least I dont have any affects of turbo lag..... however I will own a Turbo one day.

  3. Thanks for the reply, it's not too long to wait and probably will, afterall, it was my childhood dream car lol, a few more years won't hurt for the right one! Was curios as much as anything cos I really don't see te point of te 1.5 and 2.0 petrol with no scoop. I know they don't need them to draw air to the engine but styling wise...

I have a 2.0 litre and Im more than happy with it -

Link to review for the sport versions.

Quote 'Drive one hard and youll realise youve got 80% of the WRXs abilities in a far more affordable package.'

Thats what pretty much sold it to me - and you'll find going from a 1.2 litre or 1.6 then it does feel a lot quicker -

Over on the scoobynet there is a right sport that looks exactly the same as the WRX - Imprezajon's vehicle - have a look so as for styling it is a achievable - but for speed - if your wanting to race around then its the WRX for you - but like you say be prepared to pay the price for insurance... Me personally cant justify spending over £1000 on insurance no more - (Im 25)

There is nothing wrong with the sports - would love a STi however, just cant justify paying for petrol every two minutes - perhaps one day I will own one however would have to have a second car. especially when Im nearly doing 2000 miles a month.

Go and test drive a 2.0 and see what you think. All is good.

But a scoop would be good just for the looks however a prodrive exhaust makes up for alot.

  4. Yeah - was a top day - Although I only made the Saturday.... But none the less - saw some amazing vehicles and some of the noises from those exhausts systems - wow I'd imagine like having a shotgun next to your ear.

Whose the fella on here who owns the silver impreza pre 2000 has a SIDC sticker on the front and back window?

  5. Yeah was a amazing day out - Really good day for it ! Sunny was glowing hot ! Shame there was no SIDC stand or anything... Would have been good to put face to face to whom is who - I spent most of it speaking to the gentleman who owned the Rally Replica - With the pods on the front and the wide arch kit - My god what a vehicle - from harrogate too! Really nice bloke. Not sure if he is on here mind. But some money been spent on that !

  6. I went - And what a day - Didn't get there till late - arrived around 12ish just before the down pour -

After the down pour things went quiet until everything had dried up - and then the fun and games began -

Really good day ! Defo attending more perhaps the NBO -

Did any one get some photos-

Saw one blue blob eye sti with family with a SIDC tax disc holder parked beside the RB320 - Was that you?

  7. With the video above - Im just expecting the 'push start' to begin button to appear.

Quite a funny video of some guy picking up his mum in a RB320 in Snow....

Not sure if its a repost but v amusing none the less.

  8. Ok Why is it - Subaru Drivers wave to each other - I dont have a problem with it at all - I always give a nod or a cheecky wave -

but I am unknown to whether any other car drivers do this ... it wasn't until today me and the lovely lady were driving back from my fathers in Keighley (of all places ) pulling out a petrol station and a grey 56 reg STi drove past and gave a cheecky nod ....

Now, the lovely lady hadn't seen this before however we both went down the dual carriage way heading towards Skipton and bruuuumm of he went with his misses beside him and me being sensible thought got no chance but I will stay a steady 70 and I might catch up at the roundabout - which I did and as passing he looked over as did my girlfriend and both gave a steady Nod to each other and she cracked up laughing because she hadn't a clue what the nod was about but gave one anyhow...

So why do we do it? Not that I disapprove because I always give a wave even thou Im sure its like a respect type wave - yet some people just ignore you as if to say and who are you... lol

Perhaps everyone should have stickers or something - i don't know - Also saw a WR1 driving up the chevin by pass in otley too.

Hello if that was you too - Didn't manage to give a wave was behind an evo before I saw you.

    Simon
