Afternoon
Seen this one at said dealership. Nice looking car , tho that colour wasn't a massive seller if I recall hearing. Really like wheels tho
I love the 2.5s ..esp the Wagons Nice light clutch , much quicker "off", better torque and feels a much lighter car than the 2.0ltrs ( imo ) ..just always grudged the £415 road fund license.
Exhausts are the same for all the New Age so the world's your oyster where thats concerned, and springs you could probably get a set of Tein Springs since the Prodrive ones are finished ( there was someone on here selling a new set tho )
Agree about the STi badge

Thanks everyone .. As I said I do appreciate all comments .. good and bad
Safety was the most important issue.. with 2 being stuffed I'm just glad to get 4 good wheels on her so I know the handling is safe and spot on..if I really cant live with them I MIGHT get them powdercoated .. sacraligious in some people's eyes I kno .

Went and got my new wheels fitted this morning at Auto Image on Great Western Rd, Glasgow.
I'd ordered Kei Force 10s in Hyperblack. Ian and Scoobywho fitted my original tyres on new the wheels . Can thoroughly recommend them.
To me it's not just about the price , it's the service that matters too and they delivered in both departments
I had to get new wheels on asap as I'd been driving around with what I have discovered now was 2 buckled wheels and had to get new ones pronto!
Only thing I'm still not 100% on them , they're just a bit too shiny ,but I'll just have to live with them and that's it ..probably because I've been used to my car with charcoal coloured wheels ,
Anyway , here's a few pics I took at my work just after they were fitted.
Also open to other peoples opinions too .
Thanks again Scott , will be in touch again soon.

Well that's 1 off the list Thanks guys
In my head I really want the Kei F10 in Matt Gunmetal but unless someone finds old stock there's no chance of them as they're not made in 17s any more. Rota SDRs are closest to Redlines and Inovit Tarmac are a last resort.. Scrub that, someone in Paisly is selling a set of Gold STi7 17s on Ebay ,but typical Ebay they're going for stupid money, plus I'm not particularly wanting gold so would have to powdercoat them..totalling over £400 for a set of 2nd hand wheels..don't think so..
Scoobywho .. look forward to hearing from u ..as early as possible pls

Thanks everyone so far
I'm with you Mystery Machine.. I dont think so, but I suppose we all have different tastes.
Sti Pretender ..Will try them in the next day or so , thanks
Scoobywho..was nice meeting u, hopefully hear from you soon

Hi people,
Thank you to all the replies regarding helping me chose which wheels for my WR Blue WRX wagon .
Now for the past 2 weeks I have been phoning and emailing companies up and down the country looking for wheels and not getting anywhere!
I never realised how hard it was for me to have to pleasure in buying a set of wheels!
The choice was Inovit Redlines in Black , Tarmacs in Gunmetal or Kei Force 10 Matt Black ..any of these in 17".
SO .. Inovit wheels of any sort .. not a chance! Seems Inovit just aren't importing as many wheels as they used to. Only ones available are gold Redlines. Tried M4GGY on Scoobynet but he can't help either.
Kei? Nope.. dont make them in 17"s .. only in Hyperblack which IMO is still silver-looking and wouldn't suit the car
It seems to be common practice that all your Alloy wheel companies take your money and then order from the manufacturer.
Now I'm stuck ..cant believe I have a credit-card to burn + permission from the Mrs and I cant get wheels anywhere!
As said before tho I can get a set of 17" Gold Redines but not sure if that would go .
Tried going for Rota SDRs in Gunmetal .. 6 - 8 week waiting list
Anyone any sugestions? Other wheel suggestions?
Or should I just shut up and stop moaning!
Thanks for listening to my rant..
Over and out..

Ooooh .. now that gets my juices flowing!
-
Cheers Mystery Machine
Think the Tarmacs are winning the vote .. tho I'll take either if can get any of them!!
-
I think it was about 4 odd months wait for my tarmacs. And your right they are advertised but not available. Worth it in the end though
4 months! My car is a tripod justnow
-
Stunning condition m8, that's one beautiful Classic
-
I have these for sale mate.
I have seen your advert m8, they are nice just my tyres are nearly new, Michelin PS3s , and tbh I dont have the cash, was going to be using my credit card for the new wheels
Paul .. Cheers.. Mine is lowered, but at least I have an idea what it would look like.

Thanks guys for ur help.. Gotta love all these wagons
Smiler .. It's 17s I'm fitting, using my resonably new tyres ,appreciate the heads-up.
Paul.. I take it they're 17s? If so thats just the look I'm after ..tho think the Keis would look similar too

Thanks everyone .. Stewartyboy kno what u mean
Amazing tho, been phoning round so many places and NO-ONE has stock of either the Inovit Redline or Tarmac
..even more annoying is people who advertise them on their websites , then when u contact them they just dont keep them in stock, they just order them from Inovit.. who dont have any stock!!
Only contacted 1 place for the Kei Force 10s and they didn't have them either.. God there's me wanting to spend money and I cant lol!
If anyone has any places to recommend for alloys it'd be appreciated .. Only good contact I've had is Skidz in Falkirk who are chasing up the Inovits next week, and would have to order in the Kei wheels specially.

I think it looks great ,even the recent model in red imo looks the nuts .. seriously considered one until I read a few reviews .. it had problems with torque-steer and just couldn't handle all that power through the front 2 wheels, tho the new model is meant to have improved a a lot
Still £400 odd a year road tax tho
-
Nice one Gus Scarily I remember all of them bar the 555! Oh I dont kno ..tho seeing the Leggy Estate with the Redlines is swaying me .. Thinking the Tarmacs' spokes would look a bit samll .
-
I agree they would .. I'm now swaying towards the Redlines after Googling some pics with Tarmacs on them .. altho there is these .. hmmm ..

Nice! But at £1000!!! I don't have that kind of cash .. I'm working up to a budget of less than half that.
-
The tarmacs would be my choice, they are very similar to my Prodrive ones which I think are brilliant
The only thing I'd be worried about is if you buckled a genuine wheel then these aftermarkets are surely likely to be softer? (no experience, just what I've read)
Cheers Baz..
That is a stunning looking car m8
Yeh heard that too about aftermarket ones but in all my *gulp* 8 scoobs this is the 1st time this has happened to me .. These days I use the car a lot less ,only do about 5k a year now, so the chances of it happening again are less.. plus I really want them anyway

11! Jeso! Now I don't feel so bad!
Unfortunately I cant view these links .. says I'm not allowed ..maybe cos I'm a "newbie"
Steve

(less than you!?
*cough* Number 8 *cough*
Cheers Jonesy
-
That's my thoughts exactly Mr Gus Have always liked the Tarmacs , haven't seen many scoobs with them fitted .. cheers
-
Hi,
Having buckled a wheel on a pothole on Glasgow's wonderful roads I am going to just buy a set of new aftermarket wheels rather than 1 Subaru wheel and get it powdercoated to match current wheels..
I cant make my mind up on either ..
Inovit Redline but in gunmetal finish
Inovit Tarmac
or Kei Force 10 in Matt Gunmetal
My car here..
What your opinions people? I cant decide!!!

Can vouch for Auto Image They did me a set of alloys at a very competative price, they're a local, independant business and were professionally fitted by a very good tyre fitter
