About olivettibakebean

  1. Can anyone tell me which of these is the in and which is the out for the heater from the engine? http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w129/sc...Removal-035.jpg One is higher than the other but can't find any mention of which is which in my manual. Engine is a 1994 2.0t Thank in advance Ollie
  2. Its all stainless steel other than the manifold which is the original one from the scooby downpipe.
  3. Should have said im on the Granton water front Edinburgh.
  4. Welder needed, I need to fabricate an exhaust for a scooby 1994 2.0t wrx import which is in my 1966 custom VW split bus. I have all the parts for the job it should be no more than 7 welds. Happy to cough up some cash if needed oh and I don't have a rig. My normal welder has returned home to Poland and not sure if he intends to return. Thanking you in advance Ollie Check out my bus here: http://www.topsoilproject.com/vw%20bus.html
  5. Cheers but I was hoping to source them a little cheeper if possible before forking out that sort of money for new ones.
  6. Hey guys I'm like 99% done rebuilding my 94 2.0t engine but a few things have pop up and I was wondering if you lot could help source parts. I need X2 ignition coil for the spark plugs, 2 of the ones I have are cracked from over tightening by some fool. Also need X1 Long bolt for the side plastic timing belt cover, one of mine is missing. Also X1 center plastic timing belt cover bolt, one of mine is missing. Last of all a air intake duct for 94 WRX mine is cracked and the bung is mashed up and i can't find this item for sale anywhere only later versions... Follow the link to a pic of examples if my description is not clear enough. http://www.topsoilproject.com/parts.html Any help would be appreciated! Ollie
  7. By splitting the block I mean I have stripped everything off the block but am leaving the block itself alone ofther than a clean and a few new small replacments. Thanks for your advice on the timing belt, not sure if anyone could be detailed enough to stop me fearing doing this though much rather have some help. So far I have had one interested party so maybe thanks to this site I may not have to go it alone. I made a flywheel jam tool for getting the bolts off the flywheel in the first place so I should be ok with that for torque when it comes to putting it back on. As for other plans as far as the engine goes, fit a charge cooler and twin fan radiator and have a custom mount bar made thats about it as far as I can think right now. Want to know anything just ask...
  8. Not using an intercooler I'm going for a charge cooler and I will be mod'in the ecu from the donor car...
  9. I have been building a custom 1966 camper for the last year; I have fitted it with custom brakes, steering, suspension, gearbox, cage and electrics many parts are one offs. Now comes the engine, I got a great deal on a 1994 2.0t WRX jap import engine which I am in the middle of sourcing parts for and cleaning. I don't plan on splitting the block as all signs point to it being ok so it is strip down that far. What I'm looking for is help changing the timing belt and putting her back together. I'm quite handy but have only ever played with classic engines in the past including mini and German air-cooled ones and would really appreciate someone to look over my shoulder and help out while I work on the rebuild and I am prepared to pay someone for their time. Please don't send me links to build shops as I want to do it in my garage in Granton and learn as we go. Check some pics and facts on my webpage http://www.topsoilproject.com/vw%20bus.html
