About Subaruman5

  1. Hi Cathy, I was wondering if you received my private message? If not, I could send it again. Thanks, Bryan
  2. Outskirts of Edinburgh is an option too. Do you have any names off the top of your head that you can think of? Thanks for your opinion on those areas you stated too. P.S. Thanks on the photos
  3. We have decided that a 1 Bedroom Flat for around 380-450 will work out pretty well. Something small since it is better in heat efficiency, outside parking, windows are energy efficient and most importantly a decent and safe neighbourhood. We were able to come up with a few. Have you heard anything negative about these areas? Fauldburn , East Craigs, Lindsay Road, Newhaven Wardlaw Terrace, Gorgie Another choice is a Double Bedroom flat. We were thinking something around the same price or a little cheaper than the 1 bedroom flat. If you happen to know any of your friends that you trust that are looking to fill in a double Bedroom for a couple, that would be great. Awesome. Cheers, Bryan
  4. Thanks so much everyone! Couldn't have been welcomed to a friendly forum than you guys and gals. Most of my questions have been answered already, but I will definitely inform you if there is anything more than I can ask for. I will contact you Cathy when I have more progress on the search. Seeya soon! Bryan & Maja p.s. Finland picture does look photoshopped eh! haha
  5. Hi all, I firstly posted on bbs.scoobynet.com, but many suggested this site since it may have more information on the Edinburgh area. I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I am planning on living in Scotland temporarily for a couple years. My girlfriend will be attending the Stevenson college. I am just wondering if anyone would be able to help in situating for an affordable, safe flat and anything that I should be aware of in the area. I hear that flats are around £500. And areas I should stay away from are: Pilton, Niddrie, and Wester Hailes. Please feel free to reply if you have a suggestion on places you know of someone renting a flat or a car that is around £1,000-2,000. I have a few questions if anyone would kindly be able to answer them please. Which are the areas to stay away from in Edinburgh? Which areas would you recommend renting a flat/apartment? What is the best place to buy a used car or even a Subaru? Is anyone selling theirs or anything smaller and affordable? Are there Subaru meet organizations often? I probably have more questions, but these are good for now. I will introduce myself. I currently live in Washington State USA, but have the opportunity to work overseas including Greece, Australia and Italy as a helicopter maintenance technician. This is the only reason I am able to travel like this. My girlfriend will be attending Stevenson more than likely for the next couple years. I have organized Subaru events in the past in the States, but never made it over the beauty of some of your Subaru's you have. I also am interested in the Toyota Corolla AE86s. I'm aware you have the Corolla Levin's, which are just as cool. I attended Rally Finland this year and it was pretty breath taking to watch. I would like to make it to the Wales rally at one point too. I'll post a few pictures, but any information would help. Thanks again, Bryan & Maja Local Subaru Meet - Vancouver, B.C. Canada Rally Finland 2009 My cars back home Helicopter I work on Helping with fires in Athens, Greece Melbourne, Australia Subaru 22B in New Zealand Rally-X Thanks guys
