  1. Came across some pics of my old Impreza and was wondering what happened to it. I changed car in 2009 and believe the guy that got mine was from Ayrshire area, possibly Galston. Just wondering what happened to it as it needed some work due to a minor bump at the time. I loved and cherished that car so would really like to know if its still on the road or even still about. Reg started R982 ***
  2. Just imagine how imposing the ambulance looks in your rear view mirror. Yet for some reason some people still fail to see it even when it is lit up like a Christmas tree.
  3. yep engine size makes a difference. CO2 for 1.8 is 196g for 1.6 is 185g and for 1.4 is 156g so big difference mate.
  4. In two of them I am legally allowed to go a little over the speed limit and pass through red lights, but the other still puts a bigger smile on my face when I drive it
  5. Gave my car a wash at work before starting my shift last night then parked it up, I didnt realise how low down the Impreza looked until parked beside these two vehicles. Sorry about the poor quality pic, its was taken with my phone.
  6. Took my car for its MOT on Thursday. I had a voucher for money off an MOT at Kwik Fit. So though I would take it there and treat it like a pre-MOT check over and then get it MOT'd elsewhere as Kwik Fit are notorious for ripping you off. Right enough car failed on. Headlight allignment, a number plate bulb out and emmisions where too high Also had a couple of advisories, one being a slight blow in exhaust. The tester turned round after test and said to give him 5 mins. He sorted the headlight, stuck a new bulb in number plate light and then sorted the blow in exhaust which in turn lowered emmisions and resulted in a pass for the car. And the best thing was all in I paid £25, thats including the cost of the MOT. Just shows even Kwik Fit have some really nice guys working for them. Thumbs up to Mr Scott (MOT Tester) Cheers mate.
  7. Cheers
  8. Anyone ever sent an exhaust or large parts abroad? I am selling my old Vortex exhaust and have someone in Czech Republic interested in it. So was wondering what the best company to send it with was. Cheers
  9. Excellent, thats exactly what I was wanting to hear.
  10. I'm planning on buying bobbyc's old exhaust backbox. His car was a GB340 hawkeye (as you prob all know) and mine is an MY03 blobeye. Looking at the pics of his old backbox and after having a look at mine was just wondering if the backbox is a straight swap onto mine. Anyone know for sure? Cheers
  11. Well I've had my Impreza for a whole 10 days and some muppet has just scratched my front bumper, Theres a few scratches like someone has dragged something along it (not heavy or deep enough to have been a car) and some of them are down to the white. Bloody raging at the inconsiderate people in this place.
  12. Wrap it, IMO would spoil the look of the car if left black.
  13. This is only pic i have of rear at mo if it helps any.
  14. I love the sound of the boxer engine but my new Impreza is a bit too loud for my liking. Is there any waqy of reducing the noise without changing the exhaust or it is a case of buying a new one. I havent had a look underneath yet so not sure what my exhaust consists of.
  15. Well picked this up this morning. Been having fun driving it around. Love having a scooby again.
  16. Aye mate used to be Kennedy Cars, Now just a holding yard for Sherwood Car Sales. How do I go about detangoing the front?
  17. Cheers guys, good to be back in the fold. The wheels unfortunatley wont be staying gold, They are only a few months old but they were dipped and the gold paint is flaking off really bad, they are gonna be refurbed before I pick it up and will just be standard silver.
  18. Well i've bitten the bullet and after alot of humming and aahhing i have decided to take the plunge and once again buy an Impreza. A few years ago I owned the classic below. Now I've went out and got myself a newer blobeye, the one below. Hopefully get back into the way of driving a fast car again and possibly attend a few meets. Cheers
  19. Heres Mine £150 for stickers and £160 for fitting but only one I have seen so far that didnt just cut out around the handles, they have actually been integrated into the swooshes.
  20. Slid on black ice going round a corner on way to work on Friday and went into the side of a van, no major damage ( to my car van prob written off as gouged a big hole in the side of it) just a massive pain especially at this time of year. Never caused an accident in 15 years driving, most of damage taken care of need to pick up wing and then get it all sprayed after new year. Just need to find a side light lens for it. How it looked on Thursday How it looked on Friday And how it looks now
