wouldnt be my choice of wheels atall, but even they look amazing on the car

I fitted the new brakes tonight & they fit under the wheels no probs but by the time i finished it was a bit late to take her for a test drive so i'll be bedding them in tomorrow night.

Hi Paul,
I got an email from Joe at knockhill about the "Modified Zone" at the BTCC in the email it say's there will only be space for 100 cars in the Modified Zone, so it was a first come first sereved thing as space will be limited on the BTCC weekend.
I've booked my car a space in the Modified Zone as i fancied going to the BTCC this year anyway & the rest of the Ayrshire scoobs boys are off to Crail that same day(sun 4th sept).

God knows how I missed this thread! but that is totally immense mate. Love it!!!
Cheers mate, im really happy with the way she's turned out.
-
Saw you on the 74 this morning - here's hoping the map lets the car go faster than the van was .
Have to say, even on the trailer on a dull morning it looked very nice indeed !!
It was an early start for me as i left home at 5-30am & the van is just a 1.9cdti so she wasnt the fastest but it done the job well. Could of done with some better weather for the journey though.
-
Things never went as planned today, decided not to fit the lowering springs after talking to Duncan & i never got the geomoetry done or get her on the dyno as the guys at Hypertech found 1 of my rear wheel bearings was knacked but got a few other wee jobs done..
So ive left her up there & i'll be collecting her & driving her back down the road on Thursday all going well.
Cheers for the roll & the brew & of course the blast in the RS & the RA Bobby. Nice to see you again & i think im still grinning after feeling the power delivery of the RS.
-
All trailered up ready for her road trip to Hypertech tomorrow.
-
Love it Barry mind & pop round when your at Duncs
Spoke to Dunc this afternoon & the car & i will be up on Sat 23rd April.
-
Thanks guys.
-
Those wide arches really float my boat but just out of curiosity how is the inner arch finished
The kit comes with inner arch extentions for the front & i have fiber glassed the rears out to the arch.
-
Great looking car, I haven't seen much info on all that you did to it - off to try and find it - well done
Heres the build thread.
-
thanks for the comments guys.
-
Well its been 1 long year in the making but i think its been well worth it.
Took her out of the garage & into the sunlight for the first this morning & took lots of pics of course.
To say im really happy with the out come is an under statement & its been well worth the wait.
All thats left to do is sort out the suspension & get her remapped.
-
Looks awesome but you just leaving the engine as is?
Cheers mate.
I'm going to get her remapped just for fuel as the engine was rebuilt 7k ago and i cant find anything in the history to say it has been done.
Other than that it running a decat from downpipe back & a K&N panel filter, so no plans for power just yet need to save some more cash for that.
-
thanks lads.
Finally got the rear bumper fitted tonight ready for the MOT on friday then its on the road, just the suspenion to fit & set up then the project is complete.
Couple of pics took with my phone.
Beauty and the beast!
